With the new box values, what else would YOU change to the format, to keep the program fresh?

I would change the set, and make it more like the opening credits, and more like the outside of the studio/building. I've heard it's really scabby....well it is Bristol.

That's all I would change.

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

He just means the new way the values inside the boxes look all "3D". They're not changing the actual values, as far as I know.

I'd do something daft. I'd keep the normal boxes, but inside one of them I would have a special "?" as well (placed at random). As soon as you pick the box with the special "?" inside, the game immediately stops and the banker phones and offers you either:

(a) Double his last offer to you NOW if you deal at this moment.

or

(b) If you open the "?" box before the first five boxes are open, the banker will offer you £15000 on the spot to give up and walk.

The only thing I'd change is regarding the coloring of the labels. The shade of a particular amount should match the shade on the board. (Example: The very light blue color of £750 on the board should look the same on the label!)

Me too. But then I hated it when they brought in the coloured values, and now I've grown to like them.

I guess I'm just a bit fickle like that.

But it actually made sense to add colour to the values! This new thing makes no sense! They were just bored and wanted something to do! Fools.

(I'm getting a bit too passionate about this...)

I was thinking this today actually, I watched it live for a change as opposed to my sky+ recording and I think I would change:

Take out the photos and family speel. It's all lovely but not in the slightest bit interesting and I would also quicken the first two offers from the banker. It's the third offer onwards that's interesting and the first bit could be halfed.

I think it could still be THE best gameshow if it was half an hour.??

I'd have trhe banker phone with 2 boxees left after the players dealt and state whether he wud have offered the swap.

Yeh, I think that'd be a good idea. But doesn't the banker almost always offer a swap anyway?

I think with a half hour show we won't get enough time to get to know the contestants which is half the game for me. Although the double deal week was a bit overkill at least I got to know some of the new people a little better with the extra time allocated. Plus more NOEL!! ;)

It's sometimes edited out, but I'm pretty sure he always does, except for situations where it's gone horribly wrong and Noel just opens the box quickly to get it over with. (e.g. Barbara's game where she was left with £1 and £10.)

I remember Marcus swapping his box even though he'd already dealt.

No, Candice did that! Which annoyed me, 'cos I wanted her to lose to the banker (sorry...), and swapping made it look like she'd won. Bah.

well candice technically did lose because the banker brought the box that was actually in front of her, which contained £75,000 i think
