In my opinion, it is a mere coincidence that the five jackpot winners have all been women, and an even bigger one that they've all been in their early twenties. Unsurprisingly, most tend to focus on just the first part of that statement.

Do you want a male to win the £250,000, and why do you think that? (You have seven days to vote! :smt023 )

I'll start this off by saying Yes, because it's been a long time without one, and it's clearly taking it's toll on some people, especially poor Noel. And also, because the storyline of 'when will the first one be' has gone on longer than most EastEnders storylines have.

No. I'd love to see Edmonds self-combust when the frustration reaches intolerable levels.

Depends. Do I say "Yes, because it'll stop Noel guilt-tripping every other contestant who keeps £250k anywhere near the end" or "No, because he'll just use that winner as an example instead"?

I remember what happened post-Laura, so I'll go with the latter!

Yes, just because I want Noel to quit it with the "first male quarter millionaire" spiel! :x

All of you lot talking about Noel talking spiel really bugs me! Go to the Dream factory, watch a couple of games be recorded live, and then its apparent what really goes on. It's a TV show, there has to be drama and tension, Noel has to build things up.
And as for when you lot think he says stats wrong, it's a voice in his ear, not Noel's brain.

I actually have, four in fact. He was pretty good in those games (and funnily enough two people dealt at the third offer in them ;)). He doesn't *have* to build things up in quite the way he does, he chooses to do so, and sometimes he chooses not to.

I agree with Archstered's final point; it's not Noel's fault he gets things wrong. Come on - how can one man possess knowledge of everything spanning 2,100 games? For instance, the stats section of this very forum is a collective effort.

I don't watch the show with regularity any more so I can't claim I care what Noel says. But I would like a male quarter-millionaire, for one simple reason...that we haven't had one yet. It's that simple with me. It would be a nice touch I think.

We're running out of years to find one, however.

I voted 'Yes'

Reason: Just to shut Noel up, he's been going on about a male £250k winner since 2007, that's SIX years now that he's been going on and on about it

In fact, £85k Rodney's game in June 2007 is the earliest i can remember him using the term 'Male Quarter-millionaire'

I want as many £250k winners as possible (if they aren't forced wins) - some may be women, some may be men.

Well, unless the "No" camp can pull off a comeback victory similar to Steve's or Europe in the Ryder Cup last year...

(I think it was the Ryder Cup, anyway. I'm not a golfing man...)

...then we appear to have a resounding victory for "Yes". Still 6 days to go, however.

So, an overwhelming 87% of those who voted do want a male £250,000 winner, with just 12% voting no.

Yes of course I do, and I have to say young Danny looks more than a bit competitive.

Young Danny looks like a right greedy little chappy and will create embarrassing television by rewarding himself with nothing more than the average pocket money allowance of a 1970's working class family. 10 coppers.
