Well, now I've finished my review of 2012, it's time for this: what do you think was the best month for the show last year?

I don't really know. There were many months that were full of enjoyable games, but none really stood out.

It's August or December for me... but going for August, due to the £250,000 winner.

I'm going for January with 4 wins of £60k or more. And a £35k box win too.

January. It had some absolutely staggering games, most of them from just plain good luck rather than Wakeyism.

Definately January for me.

Belinda and James were my joint favourite games of the month (Belinda is a Japanese car enthusiast so that automatically makes her a legend in my book anyway!! )

The other thing about January is it only had one blue win which was a complete waste of time (Leo). Even Shakeel's game was a good comedy trainwreck!

If I hadn't picked January I would have said August - only three blue wins I can think of (and they were all hundreds of pounds rather than pence), and the only power 5 box which was undersold was hypo-swapped away (only Nong, Scott and Andy had theirs at the end of the game and they all won that amount, even if Andy's was in a roundabout way!)

There is no such thing as a "comedy trainwreck." All trainwrecks lack comedic value. How can you possibly laugh at thousands of pounds being lost and the playing contestant leaving with a relatively useless amount of money? It's bloody frunking depressing, and makes for bad telly.

August gets my vote for Nong, and Nong alone. Basically, everything else pales in comparison, or is rendered irrelevant because of her jackpot win.
