How about an offer before any boxes are opened (which G last year hinted at)? :)

The main one apart from the obvious male quarter-millionaire which conceivably could happen is a banker's gamble before 2-box.

Wasn't there a guy called Tony who was offered an undeal before 2-box in January last year? And I think Sal from April 2010 might have been offered it as well.

Double post there, James... :eyes: :eyes: ;) ;)

When the show finally comes to an end as it will in some years, I hope that 0 will be in double figures.

So you hope that there'll be at least 10 male quarter-millionaires?

Wow, that's ambitious... :eyes: :eyes: ;) ;)

Have we ever seen the same final two on consecutive shows?

I was thinking this as Gary had Olivia's 50p/£1 right up until 3-box along with £10, but consequently would never have done it with £10 being in his box.

Yes - Millie and Nic in August 2009 had final twos of £10 and £50,000 in consecutive shows. There are probably other examples too...

Martyn and Jayne from towards the start of Season 6 both had a final two of £5,000 and £100,000, I think.

No male £250,000 would have been removed instead if he just had been more brave. Most likely he would have dealt at 2 box anyway.

And you would still be calling him a wuss for having the £250,000 in front of him, even though it could have been £100.

Yes. He could have made the Bankers dream come true... which would have been a nightmare for him!

The one about the 250k never being swapped away isn't true. Way back in December 2009 Angela swapped away the 250k at the first offer. That said, she ended up leaving her original box until the end...

I don't think we've ever had an 8-box where we've had the top three (£75k, £100k, £250k) and 5 blues. We have had game where we've had the top 3 and 1 or 2 low reds but never before have we had a 5 blues/top-3 eight box!

Also we've never had a player named JAMES play on a Thursday before! :P (Reason i make a big deal of that is because Thursday is the only day of the week where a player with that truly TERRIBLE name hasn't played! ;) )

I was just about to get offended there until I saw your username. :laughing

I think the same is true with Sarahs on Tuesdays!!! :)

I was about to say we've never had a Sarah play on a Saturday, but i suppose there was Sarah-Jane from September 06 (which was the last Saturday show of 2006 too before the move to Sunday starting with Swappy Barbara! ;) )

Here's one we HAVE seen, but have we seen it since - The perfect 3 box board that Kirsty had way back in April 2006?

Some other events we haven't seen yet:

Someone creating an all-red 7 box by removing the final blue at the 15th box. Nikki Tucker created an all-blue 7 box by removing the final red (£3,000) at the 15th box.

A Male to create the 'scream finish'. We've seen it 8 times, every player female. And we've only ever had one man create the 'dream finish' (Gaz in April 2007).

The inverse of Sep 06 Matt - someone having an all red first two rounds. The chances of these two rounds consisting of same coloured amounts are 1 in 1938, so it's not surprising we've seen it only once.

Not events listed in this thread, simply because nobody could predict they'd happen due to their sheer improbability, but after witnessing the destruction that was Mark's game, we can now cross off a 10:1 split at 11 box and a 9 box of one colour.

It's also set a new record for the worst ever 8 box board, beating Chris after exactly 3 years and 4 months. Sam's previous record of the worst ever 11 box board has also been smashed by the 1 in 5830 10:1 blue split created by Mark. Incredible stuff.

Third post in a row on this thread, but...

Has anyone ever had a completely perfect second round (1 in 680)... I can name Ottis and Mini who had second round disasters, but anyone do the opposite ?

A second round deal can now be ticked off... which I knew about.

We've now seen the top three at 3-box for the second time, ironically with Noel thinking Suzanne and not Kirsty was first.

It's also the first time they've been the final three in proveout, so that's a first.

We've yet to have anyone leaving the bottom three as the last three, I believe - the closest we've had I can recall is 1p Nick leaving them as the last three on the wings, then swapping away the £100.

Laurence from June 2010 did; he won 1p. ;)
