Hi guys, just wondered if anyone had any views about whether winning a £1/4m jackpot is enough to change your life?
And if you did win, what portion of it would you spend and how much would go into the bank?

I suppose that most of us would pay off the mortgage straight away, but let's say that there's only about fifty grand left to pay, would the remaining two hundred thousand really be enough to stop working or dramatically alter your life?

I'd be interested in any views that anyone has...

Sean

TBH, if I won the 250k, I would pretty much carry on the way I am at the moment. Most of the money would go into savings towards property, and the rest I'd just keep to one side in case I needed it.

While winning the £250k would be great, I too don't think it would change my life dramatically. :eyes: :eyes: ;) ;)

As for what I'd do with the money? I'd give some of it to Oxfam and other charities, and save the rest for rainy days. ;) ;)

:D TOTALLY!!!...a dream come true, the chance to get my life back on track-after many setbacks in the last few yrs.after having auditioned, many yrs ago,and twice contacted at halloween,in consecutive yrs...i would be overjoyed to get the call to be a contestant...but to be a QM....truly life changing!!.......o and i would definetly give some to various charities.i make a point of,nearly every single day, putting something in a charity box...so charity donations would be divided amongst several i believe in.i would also move to a city as work opportunities are thin on the ground where i live at the moment.i would also give generously to family, and friends.just gotta KEEP BELIEVING i will still get the call...and maybe be the person who has waited the longest to get on the show!!...the power of positive thinking, and self belief...o and my 'halloween' story!

Well, unfortunatley, I probably wouldn't be able to do much with it at the moment, seeing as I'm 14 and it would probably go straight into the bank account I'm not allowed to open untill I'm 18. But, in the future it would pay for that big dream move to Scotland! :P

Hi guys, thanks for your thoughts on winning the £1/4 jackpot. The general consensus seems to be that it wouldn't change your life too much if you already have a bit of a start in life -although if you are just starting out and haven't yet got on the property ladder then it would be a huge help!

Good to know also that so many people out there in DoND land have a warm heart when it comes to charity and helping others less fortunate.

Another question I wanted to pose was the amount on offer that you would definitely take -regardless of how boxes are left?

I think if it got to £50,000 then I would have to say Deal.

Also, do you think that contestants go into the game with an amount that they want to win (say if their mortgage was £35,000) then they would definitely take it if offered?

I'd be looking for £20k but it would all depend on the board!
