What's wrong with dealing the third offer?

In my eyes, it's just as legit as dealing the fourh, fifth or sixth offer. And, to be honest, it's good to see a player not get dragged on past their comfort zone by a board that looks good, but could easily turn on them.

And so what if majority of them don't work out (according to Noel); there have been a fair amount of third offer OPWs as well.

Any other views will be welcome. :smt023

I have always hated the third deals... and always will.

Why? It's too soon.

Well if it works out to be a spanking then it's fine, but it doesn't change my mind.

Nothing wrong with it at all. Players can leave the game at any point they like, and I won't begrudge them for it. Entirely their choice.

It's their game. Personally I would never take the third offer unless it was REALLY good but some people are just conservative - their choice.

There's nothing intrinsically wrong with early deals in gameplay - besides the generally-established tendency for offers to increase in generosity through the game, but that's rather less relevant if the early offers are notably generous and/or high enough for the player to feel there is little merit for them to play on due to diminishing returns.

I was glad that - for the most part, at least - Noel didn't judge the Deal yesterday too badly. He emphasised the discussion viewers would have had in the break, which was great.

i personally would not ever go at the third offer, but i have nothing against people dealing then. if it is the right amount of money for them then that is fine
