We were talking about Suzanne's win at the Boys Club earlier, and one of the lads didn't beleive me when I said Suzanne was in her twenties. He thought she looked she was in her thirties. I mentioned that it says her age on the other website. Someone else said that they shouldn't put contestants ages on the official site if they don't want it.

So, here's a question: should the contestants be allowed to keep their age private and not have it printed on their profile on the official site if they want? Vote Yes or No. Polling concludes next Monday! :smt023

This is a ridiculous thread and can't believe the current poll score.

A bit of basic personal information, is surely part of the deal that allows you to play for the big cash. The viewers has to relate to the players and their dreams and people's ages would be part of all that.

This is a long the lines of suggesting players should be able to keep their hometown or name private.

Here's an idea lets just get robots playing the games, with no personal stories.

That's a good point actually. There's no need to be so harsh though! :|

Sorry, I shouldn't have been so harsh.

I honestly don't see why we shouldn't know how old each contestant is...

Especially the senior ones like Chelsea Pensioner Joe. ;)

I actually like to know their ages - I think it's more common for them to actually look younger than their age!

I think it'd be trivial to hide their ages. Part of why the game is so great is that we get to know the contestants and relate to them. Hiding their age would surely have the opposite effect to this?

Besides, sometimes it offers a shock or two when I see some people. For instance I find it hard to believe that Kerry-Anne is older than Annette in this current line up (and I must stress that isn't a sly dig at Annette!)

Well, that's it folks. This poll is officially closed!

So, the majority of people think: No, the contestants have to let their age be known. Most people say it's because it allows us to relate to them more. Good point guys!

Thanks to all who voted! :smt023
