One thing that's started happening, which I'm finding really annoying, is that when someone on a wing is about to open a box, some of them are pausing for ages before opening it. Surely, if anyone should be introducing tension into the game, it's Noel or the banker, but some of the people on the wings are bigging up their part.

What do others think?

To be honest, as tense a show as Deal may be, trying to create tension is never a good idea.

At least it's not as bad as Noel playing with the offers.

I think it's because contestants usually have to wait for a nodding signal from Noel before opening the box - apparently he goes off on one at them if they open it before that...

Yep. When it comes to the last part of the game and it's quite nervewracking, Noel can get very annoyed if players try to open their boxed too quicky - not surprised they take their time.

Shouldn't your title be "Contestants taking too long to open boxes". Your thread title is a bit like saying "Labour, Conservatives, Lib Dems and other parties making parliament boring" rather then saying politicians making parliament boring.
