ADMIN EDIT: Click here to see provisional times for the Santa vs Scrooge shows, which run from 19th to 31st December.

Feels quite apt to post this just now given the weather outside :snow: :snow2: , it is now December, the advent calendar on here has started (great 1st pic by the way, David) but does anyone know what dates these shows are being shown ?

Reason is I got one of these advance Christmas programmes schedules in the paper last week...the one that mentions the programme that is on regularly on all channels called "to be announced"

It says the 1st Scrooge v Santa show is on 25th Dec and there are 7 in total the last one being on 31st Dec.

Find this a bit strange...does this mean there is no build up as such to Christmas this year eg the show on Christmas Eve is just a normal show, unlike last year when Scrooge v Santa started a few days before Christmas and went on to the 30th Dec....also 31st Dec is New Years Eve.....and I also believe it is the 1500th show.....so are they not doing anything for that landmark ?

Thanks for that info. :smt023 I was wondering what they'd do about Christmas this year, as Christmas Day is on a Saturday and they don't normally have a show on Saturdays, of course.

It seems a bit odd if the specials aren't starting until Christmas Day itself, though.

Yeh there seems to be an extra show that week on the Saturday (Christmas Day) though might be better to wait until the proper tv mag comes out (probably in about 10-14 days) to get the details etc

The last Santa v Scrooge show is on 31st December (I was there to see it filmed in May) and it is show 1500.

There's a thread on here dedicated to filming dates.

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=19135

The New Year's Eve show was filmed at the end of May. Then there was a 5 month filming break and the first transmitted show of 2011 was filmed in October.

Digiguide have confirmed the Scrooge or Santa specials for this year. Although the theme isn't detailed, it looks like it will be based on The Twelve Days of Christmas.

Quote:

Scrooge or Santa.
The Dream Factory is transformed into a winter wonderland as Noel Edmonds hosts 12 days of Christmas specials.

I did but I had the impression from you there were going to be two shows on Christmas Day. I must admit I am disappointed they aren't doing a proper New Years Eve show and sticking with Scrooge or Santa. Also I am the same with not having a New Years Day show.

:xmastree: I can confirm there is no New Years Day show as the first show I saw recorded on October4th was for January 2nd :xmastree:

The studio looks wonderful as you would expect for the Santa and Scrooge shows, sit back and enjoy :xmas:

I'm going to reserve judgement until they start but right now 12 'themed' shows does seem kind of excessive...

I just hope the costume department doesn't go quite as overboard as they did during Easter and Halloween, otherwise we might have a completely unrecognisable line-up come new year! :blueponder
