Simon they have been doing 4 a day recently and Mister Al and I saw four shows recorded last Thursday. The breaks between the two morning shows and the two afternoon ones is very short but we had a decent lunch break

I don't know how it will affect us travelling down usually for a 12 noon start which is now a 1.45pm start with a finish of hopefully 5.30pm, if they run late we could miss our 6.30pm back to Leeds

Staying over as we are doing on Monday next is a very expensive option for us poor people on a pension

It would mean less visits

When I went to the recent reunion in Bristol, I had to stay overnight in the city centre. I thought it was going to cost me about £80 to stay overnight.

However, my Mum found a great little hotel called Hotel24Seven, where it cost me £30 to stay for the night. They save on costs because there's no reception - you book online, then they e-mail you your room code, which you punch into a keypad when you arrive. (There are staff available off-site by phone in emergencies.)

I thought it'd be a bit grotty as it was so cheap, but it was excellent - one of the best hotels I've stayed in! It was in a converted house, so it was all very new and fresh. The great thing for me was that it was a short walk from where the reunion was being held. You'd probably have to get a taxi to the studios though, as that would be a really long walk.

Presumably, the timings would mean most days run from 9 to about 8, although Collydolly mentions Mondays have a 1:45pm start, so not quite sure if they are planning to film 3 from then. Anyway, an extra 5 shows a week for, say, 30 weeks of the year would amount to them being virtually a YEAR ahead by the time of the next summer break...

Anyway, looking forward to next Thursday's visit, however many shows they end up recording!

Noticed that with the confirmation I got this week with timings, that the Monday filmings are now down for a 9am start.

Nothing was mentioned about 4 shows being recorded next Friday though.

Oh yes, I don't bother looking at the attachments with the confirmation anymore!

Between the forum members we have all of next week's filmings covered, but unfortunately most of us are going on different days

I was trying to book a twin room as I am going with a friend and I got right to the end of the online forms several times only for them to say all the twin rooms were booked

I have booked into the Ibis Bristol Temple Meads Quay at £72.90 including Breakfast which is £36.45 each so not too bad

My friend needs a gluten free diet and so we couldn't go to the Travelodge where I usually stay as there is nothing on the menu suitable for her

The Ibis is hopefully near to somewhere to eat for her if their menu is the same

I think a lot of the regulars will be visiting the df this next week, it was strange to be there without Lyn last week

Wish I'd known about that hotel although staying at the Ibis for £49 next week so I normally factor about £10 taxi fare into any hotel that isn't within walking distance of the studios/train station.

Collydolly, with the dates you gave for last Thursday's shows, you said 6th, 7th, 8th and 10th December, but that would skip a Thursday, which doesn't seem right...

Also, any info on whether they are filming one for xmas day, it being a Saturday this year? (If they are, there's a strong possibility I'll see it on Thursday anyway! )

Oh good. I assumed that it would probably be recommissioned, but here it confirmed for sure is nice.

Recording 4 shows a day could be interesting though. Doesn't each game take one and a half to two hours to record? Still, on the plus side it means people on the show don't have to take as much time off work.

Nice to see that good old Neddy will be with us, on our screens, right up until the end of the world. In all seriousness though Channel 4 would be out of their minds not to renew the contract when you consider how popular the show has been. It's one of these shows that will just go on and on with a pretty steady fan base. Compared with a lot of trash Channel 4 dish out, we can safely assume Deal or No Deal will run for a little while yet.

Anyone one know the theme for this year's Christas episodes?

Will we get double bill shows during The World Cup like we did in 2006?
