System or no system...
If you were on Dond, how on earth would you pick the numbers?
Last night his son had picked the numbers first box was dead box, 22 and contained the 250k Just watching the show now on replay.
So would you pre chose numbers and if so how ?

Uh... leave all the prime numbers and box 18.

Whenever I play any sort of DOND game online, I've always picked the boxes in the same order. And it's an order I know off by heart...

13, 9, 18, 8, 19, 3, 16, 6, 21, 20, 2, 12, 14, 17, 7, 4, 10, 1, 5, 22, 15, 11. I can just reel those numbers off without pausing or even thinking about it.

Other than the last couple of numbers being important to me, there really is no reason for the rest of them being in the order they are.

I prefer it this way. You then don't get that potential awful situation of not knowing which one to go for and then maybe taking out a big amount, where you then say to yourself 'if only I'd kept it and picked that other one.'

The way I see it, if I ever play the game (and I have applied), is that my path is already laid out for me, I can't and won't change that. All I can do is decide when to stop.

So why would you do it in that order?
Has anyone done it in the same order ? I know there must be a billion ways you could do it x

I would keep the numbers which have some significance to me (1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 20) - with 11 being kept to the very end - but the rest would be random

I have two ideal systems with me:

With 7 on the table, my order would be 1, 9, 14, 17, 21, 8, 16, 19, 12, 18, 20, 3, 4, 5, 11, 10, 6, 2, 15, 22, leaving 13 to the end, so really I would be opening boxes in ascending order

With 9 on the table, it would be 6, 21, 2, 13, 18, 16, 10, 19, 12, 4, 11, 7*, 1, 14, 8, 15, 17, 3, 20, 5, leaving 22 to the end

*Only if the board is looking very dangerous

I tend to work by people rather than numbers!

But I've always thought the four numbers I'd leave are 1, 3, 7 and 8 (they're the four numbers that make up my date of birth!) and I'd pick the rest in wing order (women first)

I toyed with various systems before deciding on my 'diagonal pair' system (based on the positions of the boxes on the wings, rather than box numbers of people) as I thought it was quite unique.

The idea being that I'd start at the audience-end of the east wing and work in diagonal pairs; going on to take out 3 boxes at the board-end of the west wing, as my box wouldn't be at the end of the east wing (it would be on the table!) so there wasn't a proper pair there. My box was paired with the one at the audience-end of the west wing, which is the one I left to the end.

Actually I I found the original 'plan' I made of it in my hotel room in Bristol - yes I was 'sad' enough to plan it in advance! So here it is, with the wing positions, offer positions and order of boxes marked on.

I would go with the flow and close my eyes and imagine them opening the boxes and what I can see them revealing.

I'd go 17, 5, 18, 20, 21, 9, 15, 16, 1, 19, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 3, 22, 2, 14, 13 and wait to see how long it took the banker to work the system out.

Presumably that'd be about as long as it took him to look down.

Presumably letters of the alphabet in order they appear on the keyboard (starting with Q), missing out the ones which are at the end of the alphabet.

Yep. Although the chances of me actually getting to use the system are so remote, it's rather irrelevant.

I wouldn't use a system. I love randomness, so that's the way I'd want to play the game. If I did choose any specific boxes, it would be based on the people standing behind the boxes.

I'd always keep 18 and 8 to the end. They are just my birthday numbers thats all. The rest would be completely random.

I would definitely keep 11 to the end, even swap for it if I could. 11 is such a significant number to me and is and always has been lucky. I would do what Alice did and remove 13, 22 and the newbie in one round. And then obviously win the QM

I'd obviously keep 10 to the end, and also 5, and hopefully get to swap for one of them. I'd also leave 11 and 8, as they're my families birthdays. Box 3 would complete 5-box with 15 at 6-box

My first 2 boxes would always be 7 and 4. Other than that, total randomness for me.
