Noel himself must have given his permission for that sketch to go ahead - I seem to remember him saying that his company ("Unique" is what I think it's called) owns all the licenses for Mr. Blobby.

I usually find Dead Ringers only slightly amusing, but I was laughing out loud for the first time when I saw that. Brilliant sketch
