Now, I'm sure that regular visitors to this forum know that I get myself down to the Deal or No Deal studios as often as I possibly can.

But why do I do it?

Well, now you can get an exclusive insight into the lives of some of us regular pilgrims by watching this video...

http://nl-video.national-lottery.co.uk/ ... ims-part-1

(N.B. I'm not in it.)

I think that if you are retired and live in Bristol, only seeing 300 shows is a poor effort.

Slightly disturbing video there! :P

Only joking! I've seen John and Caroline at the studios a few times on pilgrimmages, and they seem a really friendly couple. I'd love to see a video about Lynn (sp?), who has been practically every day since it began! Now, that's dedication for you - 300 shows looks pretty poor compared to a record haul of... nearly 1200!

I have to admit to being quite envious of pilgrims who live within a 10-mile radius of the studios...

You will see John and Caroline at the special shows and I have met them many times.

One of the little games I play while watching DoND is to look for Lynn  Yes I know I am sad

I need to go again :box:

I've never been but have two pieces of confetti courtesy of my mum's friend). Apparently at Laura's game the confetti went everywhere and my mum's friend and her sister found confetti in their coat pockets lol

I'm going for the 6th time on Thursday May 6th - a 330 mile round trip last time just to see 1 game!
It is just a fantastic day out and the atmosphere in the Dream Factory is awesome!

I've made a 400 mile round trip twice by train (although I stay overnight so I can watch all 3 games during a day's filming)

I was chatting with John and Caroline at the studios on Monday, which is how I knew their video was now online. I think I'm right in saying that Lyn has done one too, so perhaps you'll see her in Part 2...

And here was I thinking that I was adventurous for doing a 400-mile round-trip to stand on the wings for over 2 dozen shows... (plus win £6,500 as a bonus)! I think doing such a long trip to just see a few shows is probably more adventurous!

I've always said that if Endemol had been based in somewhere like Manchester, I'd have been a lot more than twice.

Ooh, Election Day! Are they taking bookings for then already? I never seem to know if I'm able to go until about a week or so before, and by then they are full up or not filming :( Although I am a 'stand-by' for the Halloween Specials, so someone please drop out! :P

As we're talking mileage, it's about a 260 mile round-trip for me, but worth it every time!

I've always said that if Endemol had been based in somewhere like Manchester, I'd have been a lot more than twice.

I considered being a 'pilgrim' about 3 years ago, but decided against it as I didn't think it'd really be worth such a long trip just to see 2 or 3 shows. As it happened, I ended up staying in Bristol for a couple of nights with someone and tried to get audience tickets but couldn't. :(

I admire the dedication of those who do long trips just to see a few shows - travelling long distances to see just a few shows with no chance of a monetary reward shows more dedication than the actual contestants in many ways. :P

I haven't been since October due to bad weather and illness but I am planning to go for 3 shows before they break for the summer.

My round trip is 440 miles and the journey home always seem to take forever  And I have seen around 40 shows :box:

2nd part of the video

http://nl-video.national-lottery.co.uk/ ... s-part-two

Although if they think the person they stated would be an ideal replacement for Noel, I think they ought to be barred for life from the Dream Factory.

I agree! Can you seriously imagine Des Lynam hosting DoND?
