Like Tom Hanks and his football on that island in 'Cast Away', it looks like it's just me and the bots here now. But that's alright, we're having a grand old time. Aren't we, Wilson? WILSOOOON?!

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

I would guess it has something to do with the camera angles they use when filming.

They are blaming it on it being a bakelite phone, so very heavy and having to answer it so many times each day (filming 6 or so shows) Funny, you never heard of anyone having RSI when everyone had bakelite phones did you??

Then again, maybe they didn't get so many calls back then, many people didnt have one at all.

They'll have to get him a smaller phone.

SEE, IF they had chosen ME as a contestant, Noel could have had aromatherapy massages for FREE, in fact I'd do him a full body massage ANY DAY of the week!!! RSI or not.

poor noel... is he sure it's the phone's fault? isn't it caused by small, repetative movements? surely answering the phone is niether small nor repetative?

He has an earpiece in the other ear so it could be awkward, looking at it on screen. Although he could switches his earpiece to the other ear?

Glad it's 'only' RSI - my brother said he heard something about Noel on the radio got slightly worried just what it would be!

And as well as Noel having RSI, Paul O'Grady had a suspected heart attack on Friday, and he's currently in hospital. :( I hope Paul gets better soon.

The other kings (i.e. Des Lynam and Richard Madeley) of C4 daytime must be getting a bit worried - Noel's RSI, Paul's heart attack, who next?!

On the subject of Noel's RSI, I don't see why he can't just switch the earpiece to his right ear and pick the phone up with his left hand. I mean, it wouldn't matter if we saw the earpiece more often - we can already see other "technical" things like the black pack that looks like an old-fashioned mobile phone he has strapped to his back.

That will be the transmitter that carries the signal from Noel's microphone to the receiver which will be somewhere technical behind the scenes, I would think. The same goes for his earpiece- it will require a receiver which will be located about Noel's person enabling Noel to hear what's being said to him through the earpiece. The equiptment will also house the battery used for powering it.

:D

All the players have a black pack as well. I think they're mainly 'hidden' in trouser pockets or something.
