How high would the banker have to go for you to risk £10k on an all or nothing gamble?

I'd probably just about deal £10k on a blue vs £50k finish, so the banker would have to go above £50k to get me to take the gamble!

When considering this, there's the humiliation factor of potentially going away with nothing at all. I don't know why, but the thought of it seems more daunting than going away with an amount that's basically worthless anyway like £1.

If 40k was a value on the board, and I had a final two of pocket change/£40k and an offer of 10k, I'd probably deal. So I'd need the reward to be 50k to entice me into the gamble...

I put £50k but I suspect it would be somewhere between 40 and 50! (Or I'd more likely tell them where they could stick it) :)

I'm rephrasing this question as "what amount is twice as useful to you as £10,000"?

I think that amount is £35,000 or a bit above, so I'll put £40,000. Maybe after the £30,000 offer I might well have gone "make it £40,000 and I'll go for it" - and given the obvious intent behind the twist, I'd probably have got it...
