Is it just me or recently have contestants failed to follow the advice that they gave out to others when on the wings? Take Linda recently for example who said that if a board was good it may be worth a risk, she herself didn't do it, fair enough it was to her a lot of money but it seems a bit pointless not practising what you preach and she had a good board. Other examples have been Jessica who didn't show the same wisdom when in the seat as despite seeming like a big gambler went at a consiiderably low sum for what was a good enough board. Is it maybe because they are actually risking their winnings when on the show? What do others think?

Shahid took a questionable gamble at five-box as it was and 'follow your instincts' doesn't mean being reckless. As for Huddy, oh yes he did show wisdom - he drew an AMO and took it under pressure not to!

Your general point is a good one, but the specific examples you drew were rubbish, frankly!

Pick better examples :)

It's a decent argument but as KP has already said, things happened in Huddy's game to avoid that!
