*Click here to see the full, confirmed schedule*

Got a newpaper today that had a tv magazine type of thing in it with tv shows for Christmas.

It has got DOND Santa v Scrooge games starting on Monday 21st Dec and ending on Wed 30th Dec :o ......and then they will probably have the dressed up New Years Eve show on 31st.

Also the weekend of 26th/27th.....it has the weekend DOND show being on Boxing Day....Sat 26th instead of the Sunday.

The shows on 24th,25th and 26th Dec.....also the one on 1st Jan are down as being 1 hour long shows

With still a month to go could still change though

Interesting, thanks for posting that up. It reminds me of how they did it in 2006, due to an early show on Christmas Day and a late show on Boxing Day. Although it doesn't look like there'll be 2 shows on each day this year, like there were in 2006!

I'm not surprised they've moved the Sunday 27th show to Boxing Day (Saturday) either, as it makes more sense to have the 3 main Christmas shows on the 3 main days of Christmas....

Incidentally, excluding the Christmas Star specials last year, when was the last time there was an hour-long show?

I remember the last 65-minute show being Morris, so if it's half as good as that, we're in for a treat!

Looks like there's just as much Scrooge or Santa as last year then (1 episode more in fact, as it ran Mon to following Tues last time :P ). A bit strange it runs nearly until new year, although it gives a fair run for each twist I suppose, and expect the tree with the baubles will be back (and the Turkey)!

The blurb from DigiGuide.

Quote:
Scrooge v Santa.
The weather outside might be frightening, but the Scrooge vs. Santa specials are spreading Christmas cheer to the good people of the Dream Factory, which has been transformed into Santa's workshop, with the "worker elf" contestants presided over by "King elf" Noel. The Banker is offering contestants the opportunity to win some amazing prizes as well as a sack-load of cash, but Deal or No Deal's very own Ebenezer Scrooge could also get his wish by taking a look in their box, potentially ruining their game.

No problems for Noel being the king elf then :-D

Nice to see they have a proper Christmas theme this year! To be honest, I thought it was a bit random when they all dressed up in 1950s outfits last year, and even the Victorian outfits in 2007 seemed a bit un-Christmassy...

Well it's fair to say the Christmas Star idea had run its course - so this will be the first year to have a proper Christmas theme

I'm surprised elf and safety allowed them to do that.

Biggest surprise there is the New Years Day game being a 60 minute one....the games on that day in previous years have just been normal games with normal red boxes (and not really memorable games either especially the one from 1 Jan 2008, the 2009 one probably the only memorable thing about it was the 5 lowest reds going in the opening round and 2007 one being memorable because of the newbie that day)........they used the gold boxes and the dressing up on New Years Eve.

Extended shows? Santa v Scrooge? I think we have some Wakeyist games coming up... or some other means of stuffing the show. *rimshot*

I bet the Christmas Eve player will be Israel, as thats where Jesus is born on that day (well mainly). And then the obvious candidate for the 25th is Hollie

Looking forward to some more Christmas shows!

Glad they don´t clash with either of the Doctor Who specials. :D

I think the main reason for this is due to Noel having his Christmas Presents program on Sky One this year. That is along a very similar line to the stars shows. Just without hard cash and boxes being involved.

Watch out for the Christmas shows trailer they're showing - they include shots of shows and the gameboard is visible, therefore meaning it's a bit of a spoiler. So switch off at the start of the trailer if you don't like spoilers!
