Hello, I just have a general question about the black book and pen that always sits on the contestant's table on Deal or No Deal. What is it used for? Is it used to record all of the offers that the Banker makes in a given game, or does it have some other signifcance?

It's meant to be for the contestant to write down the amount of money they want to win - although I can't remember the last time that actually happened! They all just seem to use it for whatever they want lately.

Honestly, these contestants, they're just taking liberties....
