Ok, as you know if you have been following the commentaries over the last week, I have been setting teasers every day in the run-up to the 1000th show, and today is the finale, so I thought I'd set a quiz for you all to have a go at!

This time, you can look up information if you are really stuck, as some are ridiculously difficult to remember (and some are extremely random), but see how you do with these:
(where correct answers are given, these are highlighted in red and winning answerers in brackets)
(and if it is highlighted in green, most likely only 2 forum members will be able to get it!)

DOND QUIZ

1.) Multiply the number of members of the 1p club by the number of pairs of shoes Noel reportedly has for this show. (Clue: TV Times article) (willrelf)
2.) Who received the first “dream offer”, and when? (H2005)
3.) What was the name of Noel’s dwelling on Noel’s House Party? (clareclw1)
4.) How many contestants’ names that have played can refer either to a month or a colour? (List them)
5.) How many all-blue final 2’s have there been, up to show 999?
a) 242 b) 244 c) 246 d) 248
(cool-luke-18)
6.) How many international versions of Deal or No Deal are there? 71
7.) When was the first banker’s gamble, and who received it? (H2005)
8.) How many players have changed their regular name to a nickname for the show, e.g. ‘Geordie’?
9.) When did Noel first mention the date of transmission in the opening intro? (H2005)
10.) How many shows with coloured boxes other than red during the actual game have there been?
11.) Which forum member had their comments about Noel’s hairstyle (which turned out to be completely untrue, and was a mean prank by the banker) dramatically cut from a recent show?
12.) What are the exact odds of knocking out the power 5 in the opening round? (MisterAl)
13.) What is the highest money week of Deal or No Deal? (a week running Mon-Sat/ Mon-Sun)
a) £326,876 b) £336,876 c) £346,876 d) £356,876
(H2005)
14.) How many ‘Santas’ were revealed on the bauble tree in the Xmas shows 2008?
a) 3 b) 4 c) 5 d) 6
(cool-luke-18)
15.) What is the lowest amount given away in any three consecutive shows? (MisterAl)
16.) Which box, when at the table, has had the £250,000 the least? (cool-luke-18) (also 14 and 21 have had no £250k on the table!)
17.) How many members of the production team are currently listed in the credits?(!) 53
18.) Who composed the music to Deal or No Deal? (H2005)
19.) Who was the first lady member of the 1p club? (full name) (1/2 point to MisterAl)
20.) What is the postcode for the Deal or No Deal studios?(!) (Duffer)

I'll leave this one open for a while!

How would you know that without looking at 1000 different birth certificates?!

You know what I mean - radical changes from their real name that are widely known - I appreciate this may not be totally accurate as you haven't had the opportunity to check each contestant's birth certificate, but I rule it is ok for the purposes of this quiz!

I didn't say this was going to be easy, and that is probably the hardest question of the lot to find out!

Just a quick question, what defines a "dream offer"?

Those offers that don't have a monetary value but offer a holiday etc.

I welcome any guesses... I'm not sure whether I'm happy that I've managed to beat you all with the immense difficulty of it all, or frustrated that no one's given it a go!

Ah well.

Since there are no other takers, I'll answer a select few of them now.

12. 1 in 22C5
15. £350.01 -- I was in the audience for all three when it happened in March 2008. (1p Margaret, £100 Joy, £250 Steve)
19. I don't know her full name -- I haven't seen her birth certificate, see? -- but will you accept a visual answer?

Here's my stab at some of them (without looking them up, so they're probably all wrong!).

1.) 4,000
2.) Broomhead Paul, June 2007, with all the football dream stuff
7.) Phyllis, October 2007
9.) August 13th, 2007
11.) M_Kreuzwirth III
13.) b) £336,876
18.) Augustin Bousfield

You'll now see the questions correctly answered are now in red up the top.

Yes, well done Clare-Louise, I thought I'd thrown in a question unassociated with Deal or No Deal but associated with Noel Edmonds for a bit of nostalgia!

It's an answer [Crinkley Bottom] I'm hardly likely to forget, given that when Noel's House Party was on, I sent some correspondence, shall we say, to the address given during the show, and to my astonishment received a reply in the form of a hand-written letter on Crinkley Bottom-headed paper, signed by Noel, and a photo of him and Mr. Blobby, also signed by Noel!

Looking at it now, Noel didn't half have an awful taste in jumpers back then...

I will give these answers a go

14. I think that there was 5 santas revealed
17. I'll try 28 even though I haven't count them.
5. 246
1. There are 20 1p members and I reckon that Noel has five pairs so I will go with 100.
6. I'll go for 25 international deal or no deal shows.
16. I think that the box that has the £250,000 least when on the table is box 13.

I'll give these questions a go, hopefully hopefully I have got some right, I don't think I have got them all right though.

I'd have thought you'd have got number 11, Luke. For some unexplained reason I have a feeling that you were sitting across the aisle from the person when it happened.

Not bad! Well done! Updated up the top.

Just to clarify with question 17, this just basically means everyone you see in the end credits, as they are involved in the production in some way!

Just to clarify MisterAl's answer, the answer is Sally Kettle!

I knew a few of the others but let the rest have them. ;)
