As you may have noticed when referring to the show, Noel and some others now abbreviate Deal or No Deal to just "Deal".

Do you like this or does it annoy you given that much of the appeal of the show is about no dealing?

I like it, don't see any problem with it. I actually refer to it as Deal myself anyway (that or DOND)

I must admit I am guilty of that too

I always call it "Deal or No Deal" or "DOND" and I think the only member of crew who ever referred to it as "Deal" was Noel himself.

The Aussie host refers to it as 'Deal' but I don't.

I've sometimes mockingly referred to it as 'No Deal' I think, when Noel-as-edited was at his worst.

Not keen on it myself, I much prefer "DOND" which I've only ever heard Noel use once and that was in quoting the Banker quoting a forum post in H's game!

Was that the post about me wanting DOND memorabilia / a DOND box? I can't actually remember...

I can't remember what it was about, just remember hearing it and thinking I've never heard Noel use that abbreviation for it before!

Noel referred it to Deal today down at the recordings by thanking us for coming to see "Deal".

Actually in Australia it's called "The Deal", not "Deal".

Some people would rather have the title shortened to "No Deal", that should have been an option. :)

It's not a new thing, is it? Actually when did Noel first refer to it as "Deal" on-air?

Indeed it was, that's the only time DOND has been used by Noel.

So far 2/3 have voted they don't like it including me. The reason I don't like the abbreviation is that
there's no other way to describe the show except in its title. I can live with DOND, but to call it "Deal"
sells it short.

It seems to me to be a new thing, I can't recall Noel using it before shows transmitted this year. Maybe
someone can recall when he first started calling it "deal."

I always call it The Deal but that's a habit I picked up from Andrew O'Keefe in Oz...

It makes sense for it to be abbreviated to Deal... I've never really referred to the show as 'dond' other than when typing it on here.
