Nick, Lynne, Claudine and Alice.
Note that three of these were prior to 2008. From 2008 on, not only was I not watching but, I believe, the show has had to go practically stark crazy to renew itself every now and then, so that it's still an entertaining game show and not the televised search of a poor commoner for the cash they won't have anyway. And besides, from this time on these people haven't been your ordinary Joe but have been picked extremely selectively by Endemol and Mr Hugill (Banker).
Anyway then, here's a summary of why I went for the four options I did:
1p NICK: Quite simply, if it weren't for a thread regarding a video of his game, I wouldn't be here on this site now. Also, I believe his was the classic buildup-buildup-climax in terms of offers (think you're getting somewhere)-crash-burn style of game, this being the type he pretty much pioneered. Also the founder member of the 1p club - doesn't make him much richer, but still. Deserves some respect for that.
10P/£75K-FINAL-TWO LYNNE: Bloody hell, what a game. Not unlike Alice's, actually. One lady who you think has absolutely no chance of even wanting the huge money - goes to the end with a total all-or-peanuts final two, declines what would now be called a VERY generous offer (£22,076 I think) and walks home £75,000 in back pocket. Amazing. EDIT 19/03/09: And, now I have heard of the grave situation her and her husband were in at the time, just downright pure luck in its very essence. Possibly, possibly the best ever.
£107,031 CLAUDINE: Purely for the 5th round and onwards. Dont' remember much of Claudine but her last offer was....quite large. I picked this one just as a backup so to speak.
ALICE: I'll be honest, before seeing her picture in the Liverpool news thingy online, I actually thought she was a little old lady. Only, there aren't many girls around nowadays called Alice - parents are favouring such names as Holly Day or Ophelia Balls. But anyway. In short, a brilliant game - MUCH more brilliant than that of Laura. No climax leading up to the game, so was a hell of a surprise. There was the chance this time to see it as it happened, and not think "Well, I know what's coming....". And, on the most contrasting of final two boxes there can be, I'm very surprised alice took the game voiding un-deal Banker's Gamble thingamagig and it actually paid off. The reaction, no doubt, would have been that she was a Wakeyist type if she had won 1p. You people NEED to stop being so assuming. They don't HAVE to be this, and they don't have to be that. But yes, Alice's game ranks among my top 10 ever.
There we go then. I voted for Nick, Lynne, Claudine and Alice.

Like Tom Hanks and his football on that island in 'Cast Away', it looks like it's just me and the bots here now. But that's alright, we're having a grand old time. Aren't we, Wilson? WILSOOOON?!
A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.
