There was a thread on this, but it's horribly out of date and I thought it would make sense starting a new one that people can post in occasionally.

In order of how long each player's been on...

Little Rich - a good character, am looking forward to his game. Gives some good advice on the wings.
Abed - quiet, but I know him from his slow box openings, although I wish he'd do them quicker.
Maria - don't know her too well...
Ben - he's ok, although not said much.
Ron - looks a bit like the first Ron... hasn't said much.
Charly - could be quite fun in her game.
Mary - very entertaining with all the grass stuff! She reminds me of a past contestant, not sure who...
Michael - indifferent
Chris - should be fun judging by the stuff about working with monkeys.
Tina - could be another Siobhan type, with the "aracnophobia" comment.
Ajay - seems to have an aura about him, am looking forward to his game.
Peter - indifferent
Steff - indifferent
Helen - indifferent
Tony - indifferent
Judy - a legend already, with her invisible crystal ball!
Nicky - seems quite good
Simon - seems ok
Tink - seems quite good
Ann - seems ok so far
Mario - too soon yet, seems ok

Ron - Doesn't do much but seems quite good
Ben - Doesn't do much
Mary - Now quite entertaining
Helen - Only know her because she posts here
Tony - Have almost no idea who he is

Charly - Noel obviously likes her

Mario - Only know him because people posted about him before he joined
Maria - Don't notice her much, but Mario and Maria standing next to each other is quite cool...

Peter - Seems fun, but I really only notice him because he looks like Basil Fawlty
Nicky - Seems quite good

Overall, a brilliant 22. I'd play Maria, Ben and Ron in the next three games and give Tony and Peter short runs to make room for all the legends to have longer runs.

can i just say that I know i may seem quiet to everyone..but i can assure you I wasnt ...nearly everthing I have said has been edited apart from "hope this is blue"..I gave very good comments to helen..but all of it was edited out..maybe they want to portray me as boring and quiet..not happy that they are showing me with a straight face all the time..as i was laughing and joking a lot..also today i noticed that i had more makeup on than usual and they had put extra mascara and eye liner on me..which made my eyes water on that particular day..also at some point next week i have a cold so i will be sneezing and coughing quite a bit..but al, i can say is hope you like my show..as i had a great time while i was there.

It's a shame Endemol have to edit out parts of the show, as contestants that seem quiet are most probably not. But I suppose as there's so many people it's just not possible for them to show everyone and everything in the 35 minutes they get.

I suppose it must be quite annoying to people when they realise they cut a lot of what they say?

But everyone gets their time at the 'crazy chair' so people who seemed quiet will get their chance to shine then.

As for the current 22 I think there's a good mix at the moment and a few games that i'm looking forward to.

But you're right, the cameraman is always focussing on Charly even when she isn't in active play. The same went for Danielle. Can't blame em though!.

Denis seems good. I'd play Abed tommorow for the Saturday show (to improve ratings), Maria on Monday, Ben on Tuesday, save Mary for Halloween, Peter on Thursday, Tony on Friday and give Rich the birthday show.

No offence to those if said I'd play early because I'm sure they have said plenty that's been editied but it's just my opinion.

I'd like to add that I think Denis is a legend.

It must be a tough job editing a 90-minute + show into a 36-minute timeframe (which is what DOND is minus the adverts!!).

I think it goes without saying though that if I (or others) don't notice a certain player then it's probably down to the editing... I hadn't noticed Maria much to be honest and she confirmed that it's because of the editing! Sure she's nice in real life... is she as mad as Mary though?!

The problem is how do they give 22 contestants airtime? They could extend the show but some say the game moves too slowly as it is and that it should be a half hour show!

I suppose the axing of the blue chants and the LTL has created a bit more time for them to work with, but it's still the case that a few characters tend to dominate, and the producers tend to work with "themes" i.e. running jokes surrounding a couple of contestants at any one time.

Some contestants will have to accept we won't notice them that much before their game - but I agree it's unfair to call someone dull or boring before they have played, it's more than likely down to the editing or just the stage in the game when their boxes have been opened, i.e. there tends to be more banter early on and less when the tension builds towards the end.

Really Rich gave a lot of advice that was shown though. Maybe they should upgrade the show to 1 hour long.

The trouble with longer shows is that they just drag so much when there's a bad game with a flat atmosphere. A few of the original run of Saturday prime-time shows proved that.

Also, I suspect the casual viewer thinks the game is too long drawn-out anyway and would prefer it to be shorter - generally the "action" in gameplay terms is in part 3 and a lot of people can't be bothered with all the build-up to it.

h2005 ..mm not sure I am as mad as mary but I am certainly a bubbly person who loves a laugh and a joke...and I totally agree that they do have a hard job editing and do appreciate that they have a job to do..but feel that when it is an important part of the show..ie..if noel makes the camera come up to you in the show and you have very good valid advice for the player ..then I feel that it should be shown....agree with the fact also that some of the games had been a bit flat and if that show was to drag on it would seem boring.
