What would you have done if you had been in Tom's position with the £100,000 & £250,000 still in play?

I'd have dealt. It was quite a mean offer, but £33k would still be life-changing for me, and there was a 60% chance of taking out the £250k and not getting a higher offer. (I doubt it would have been higher with £100k/blue, he'd probably have stuck.)

I think it would be pretty stupid not to deal with an offer of £33,000. Think Tom did the right thing. After all, he could have been left with two v low blues. Was nearly an all or nothing game. Glad it wasn't! Don't think my nerves could have taken it!!!!

I voted DEAL but then I always chicken out. I always expect the worse. You can see my two forum DOND games for proof of that!!

Thats one of the few situations where I'd no deal, simply because the two biggest numbers are still on the board...

AAARGH! I don't mean to be picky but I hate it when people use the word 'of' instead of 'have'!!!

Sorry The Banker and Suezan, it's just one of those few things in the world that really bugs me, along with people who come along to zebra Crossings and press the button even though it's already been pressed...

Rant over.

The Banker did it as well.

I mean, not that it was burning a hole in my soul or anything....

GOD, that's not as annoying as when a pedestrian pushes the button then crosses anyway and turns round from the other side of the road to watch all the cars that have to stop.....

Think I would have to deal that, with 30% chance of complete disaster and losing both the big ones.

With a middle red as backup I would probably no deal though.

Yep, that bugs me too, but then I'm an easily irritable person.

I would have dealt because the £100,000 and £250,000 could well have gone along with a blue in Round 6. In short, it would have been very risky to no deal with the board the way it was.

The chances of taking out both big numbers is low. its a 3 in 5 chance youll have at least 1 of the 2 big ones left. Its a 2 in 5 chance of having both of them in play (correct me if im wrong)

IMO, No deal would be the option for me. Plus, he had the back-up of £20,000 still in play which makes the odds even more better.

Not at that point, the £20,000 went in the round before.

The chances of taking out both of the two big ones is 30%. The chance of taking either one of them is 90%. The chance of taking out neither of them are 10%. That gives us the 'increase grid' of:

30% - Massive Decrease (Blue-Blue)
30% - Stay the Same (100k-Blue)
30% - Big Increase (250k-Blue)
10% - Massive Increase (100k-250k)

I think I'd have to say I'd deal; 30k is too large amount of money to risk a 30% chance of losing it all; and the 40% chance of increasing probably isn't likely enough to risk it.
