I have to agree, it's a nice idea Jonny, but maybe start with 22 contestants to make things a bit more manageable and pick the most popular. Have qualifying rounds to select them perhaps?

Just a couple of friendly suggestions. The concept is great!

i do think it will get simpler as time goes on, but qualifying does sound like a better idea...

How about a qualifying poll for each month for example?

well...each month is slightly too large...maybe fortnight? that's 12 shows...

that would mean about 14 would go through (if we included the 21 waiting players)

then we could have like a wildcard round where an extra 8 players go through, giving us 22 players in the 'final' - but i wouldn't know how to work this wildcard
