Yeah, I looked at Digiguide and that seems to confirm it.

Head start on TP I suppose.

From Countdown on Twitter...

#TimesAreAChangin ' From next Monday 17th Feb. to Friday 7th March @C4Countdown will be on at the slightly earlier time of 240pm #3WeeksOnly

Looks like a temporary thing then for the time slot change of Deal.

I wonder what the reasoning behind the temporary change of time is, unless it's just a trial to see what effect it has on viewing figures of the various afternoon shows.

I notice that 'Superstar Dogs Countdown to Crufts' hosted by John Barrowman is going in the 5:30pm slot, so it could be due to that, but I'd have thought they'd just stick it in the 5pm slot in place of CDWM.

I see it is only temporary, but I wonder if it's going to change again when Fifteen to One comes back? I would imagine they're not going to put that post-5PM - I can see it getting lost amid Pointless/Chase, like Five Minutes to a Fortune was (very sadly). Not that I think it will set the world alight in any slot, frankly, but heck, give it a chance, C4. At least pushing DOND to 3:30 gives a chance for Fifteen to One at its original transmission time of 4:30.

That said, if it does happen, I can't see how shifting shows backwards and forwards is going to do C4 any favours.

The Paralympics start a week tomorrow... so looks like that days game is on the next day at 12:30pm.

I expect they will have some shown on More4 while The Paralympics are on...

Yes, and as well as the episode on that Saturday there's also an episode as normal on the Sunday.

Don't think there's any Deal scheduled for Cheltenham week (11-14 March), which tallies with the show counts I was given at the time...

What's quite curious about this is that Come Dine With Me REPEATS appear in the 4:30pm-5:30pm slot, which could easily have been used for Deal, I'd have thought. I think these have been rating considerably higher, but if that is the case and they're basically using the slot instead of Deal, why are they considering a recommission? Either they have faith in the show, or they don't...! :ponder:

A lot of head-scratching about Channel 4's decisions from my point of view...

EDIT: Apologies, it's now NEW 4 in a bed, then CDWM repeats at 5, but the basic point stands!

Agree with you on that. I suppose C4 are just time-shifting everything back 30 mins to make it easier for viewers?? Who knows.

I thought the 3:30pm timeslot was for three weeks only (starting 17th Feb). However, it still remains at 3:30 until at least Fri 21st Mar according to Channel 4 listings and until at least Mon 31st Mar according to digiguide.tv.

Maybe it is a permanent thing after all, which is what was originally suggested some months ago!

Well, this is interesting "Noel News", about his bid to buy the BBC apparently! :ponder:

I particularly like the creative license used by the writer here of what "Noel's BBC" could look like...

Oh no! I completely forgot that you were all coming down today (some reason I had the 23rd in my head). I missed today, had a bit of a late night last night. Have fun?

I like the DigitalSpy BBCEdmonds schedule!

Noel was 'grilled' by Paxman last night about his ambitions to buy the BBC:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... t-17032014 - 39m 20s in.

Blobby got mentioned by Paxman; what with the reference to him during Kirsty's game as well, he got two mentions on two different channels on the same day. That's the most exposure he's had for years so let's hope it's the start of a Blobby comeback. :P

Interesting, that, and I've not looked at the BBC in quite that way until now. As a student of AS Media, it's very intriguing indeed. :)

Of course, I've had a signed Blobby photo from Edmonds himself for around 20 years now, something of a permanent reminder! :D

(That was back when Noel wore awful jumpers instead of awful shirts. Ahem! :P )

I've got a signed photo of Alan Titchmarsh... :smt102 :smt047

Er, yeah, Blobby. I remember him vaguely from my early childhood. Probably the cause of most of my problems in early adulthood. sdgthju
