It's interesting that a number of players who have had the 100K and 250K at the 8 box stage with 6 relatively low amounts have all been offered around £20,000, and then seen things crash. The odds are that no dealing at that stage, you have a 64% chance of taking out at least one of the 100K and 250K which would mean that the banker's offer would probably be less, then at 5 boxes left you would have a 60% chance of taking out the other big number if you chose to go on if you had not already done so. So in a situation where you have the two biggest amounts but no meaningful safety net, it is sensible to give serious consideration to the offer and not get seduced by them out of having a successful game.

If we're talking probabilities here, the other thing to note is that the chance that both will have gone by the two-box showdown is about 54%.

Personally, with the £250k and the £100k still there at offer-of-eight I might take the chance to go for the glory and continue. If one of them went next round the offer would reduce, but it'd still be a decent amount. It'd be worth risking a little bit to potentially gain a massive amount. The 10.7% chance of total disaster would be small enough to tempt me on. (Although Gary managed to hit that 10.7% chance today...)

I'd definitely Deal - I was yelling at Gary to deal today but he didn't listen.

I've seen too many shows now to know that if you have no other decent reds, you're basically going to take out one of the reds which will force you to go on another deal and it's unlikely you'll be able to avoid the other one in the following round.

Just my opinion.
