£1/£10/£750/Top 8.

Brenda's was stronger.

However, she had the balls to decline the £31,000 offer and then proceeded in taking out £1, £10 and £20,000, leaving her with £750, £10,000, £15,000 and the power 5- her deal was for £57,000 which, although the board was strong, seems pretty justified to me.

Hers, therefore, was far stronger.

probably Daniel's although Brenda's was strongest 8 box he had the strongest 5 box situation, highest offer (90K) and second strongest 8 box board.

kathleen and Gaz could also be the strongest games throughout we never quite had.

Well not recently, but Richard's game comes into one of seven 5-box scenarios I consider to be the strongest.

You had Brenda, who played on 9th February 2006; her final five were:

£10,000
£35,000
£50,000
£75,000
£250,000

She dealt at 8-box for £57,000; had she made it to this stage she'd have offered the mean, £84,000. She did conclusively beat the Banker in the last round and had £50,000 in her box.

You had Kirsty, who played on 4th April 2006; her final five were:

£500
£3,000
£75,000
£100,000
£250,000

She was offered £51,000 at 5-box, which she declined. She of course went on to keep the three biggest in play as her last three boxes, and was left with £75,000 and £250,000. She declined the last offer of £125,000 and won £75,000 from her box.

You had Claudine, who played on 17th December 2006; her final five were:

£3,000
£5,000
£10,000
£50,000
£250,000

She very bravely declined the offer at this stage, which was £44,031. She was left with £10,000 and £250,000 and she dealt the resulting offer of £107,031. Unfortunately the Banker got the last laugh because the £250,000 was on the table all along!

You had Jeff, who played on 23rd May 2007; his final five were:

£1,000
£5,000
£10,000
£20,000
£250,000

I've thrown this one in because of the way it was set up. He dealt at £30,000 at the third offer, but then missed out on £41,000 and then £52,000 with this situation. He did beat the Banker technically as his last two were £1,000 and £10,000 with his last ofer being £4,000 and his box containing £1,000.

You had Daniel, who played on 28th August 2007; his final five were:

£750
£50,000
£75,000
£100,000
£250,000

He received the highest-ever fifth offer for this configuration; a whopping £90,000! He went for the big time, and he whacked out the £750, giving him the best possible situation with four boxes left. But it didn't work out for him as the £250,000 was unfortunately also found. He was left with £50,000 and £100,000 and he dealt the offer of £75,000. And he only had the £50,000 on the table!

It has to be said; statistically this is the best board at 5-box we've had so far.

You had Ronnie, who played on March 2008; his final five were:

50p
£50
£75,000
£100,000
£250,000

Another one I've thrown in because of the way it was built up. He dealt early at £18,000. His offer at 8-box would have been £41,000. His offer with the above final five would have been a whopping £70,000! Luckily for him he finished with the two blues; his final offer would have been £18, and the 50p was on the table.

And then the seventh game is Richard himself! I might as well post the stats for comparison reasons.

You had Richard, who played on May 2008; his final five were:

£3,000
£5,000
£75,000
£100,000
£250,000

He dealt early at £22,500. He had the six biggest amounts in play at this stage, as well as two more smaller reds. He kept the biggest four in play as well as three other reds, and would have been offered £50,000 at 8-box. He then wiped out the last blue along with two moderate reds to be left with the above scenario at 5-box, and would have been offered a huge £75,000! Although he did find the £75,000 and £250,000 his final offer with £3,000 and £100,000 left would still have been considerably higher than what he dealt at; £32,500. But the misery was completed when the £100,000 was revealed in his box.

Namfon also had a very strong halfway board, with £5k and everything £15,000+.

Kathleen and Gaz from last year were considered, as was Elaine from this year, but I didn't think to include them.

The stats prove it isn't but it was the strongest in recent times without a doubt.

Sheran had a pretty strong board at 11-box - all the reds except £3k & £250k, and only 2 blues, one of which (the 1p) was in her box, resulting in one of the longest red-runs ever after she no dealt the 3rd offer!

Steven only had £50,000 and £250,000 in the big money so I wouldn't include it.

Stella is a niggling one; I did think about it but it didn't scream at me for some reason. :?
