Just been down the pub for the local quiz night (we finished third if you care!) and there's a DEAL OR NO DEAL game on the quiz machine, just wondered if anyone else had seen it and what they thought of it. I spent £3 on it and won diddly squit!

Wow! I'll look out for that! How does it work? Are there questions before you open each box?

From what I remember, you are set a points target to win a cash prize. There are 20 boxes (why not 22!?!), each with a different points amount in it. You select a box and it's either eliminated straight away or you have to answer upto 4 questions to remove the box.
At seemingly random times the banker makes you a points offer. If you deal, you 'bank' those points and start a new game with 20 boxes. If you no deal, the game carries on as before until you reach your target or inevitably lose all your 'try agains'!

(This may or may not be accurate as I have drunk quite a lot!)

Sounds intriguing, but not that easy to win money on... I think I'll stick to WordUp and Millionaire! ;)

Did break even on WWTBAM actually! Would have made a profit if I'd known which of the following colours doesn't feature on the Tanzania flag. A: Red B: Green C: Yellow D: Blue

Funnily enough I took the money!

EDIT: If anyone cares the answer was A, just looked it up on t'internet!

I've played this game. It is very addictive but quite hard to win on because of all the questions you have to answer. However if you manage to get the points you need the next round is very easy. It is just like normal DOND, you just open boxes without questions and you can win up to £20. The banker offers you money every so often. May mate said he won £6.50 on it!!

Ah that makes sense, we couldn't get past the first round and was wondering where the money came into it!

ooh i hope they put it on at our student's union.

Do they have Noel's voice on there?

I love the Blockbusters game, that's quite easy to win money on.

I can't actually remember if it's got Noel's voice on. There's a video clip at the start and a picture of him throughout, which is quite exciting!

Oh wow!! that sounds great.
I can't wait til they bring out 3D gaming (who knows one day) where you could have Noel Edmonds sitting in your living room.

Speaking of computer games, do you think there will be an official DOND Playstation game out for Christmas as well???!!

I wouldn't be surprised. I'd have thought an interactive DVD game was more likely though.

Yeah I guess so as they're the hip and hop and happening thing at the moment. I know that's been discussed quite a few times actually hasn't it.

So anyone else played the Pub Game? If so you should tell us how much you've won! Not that I'm condoning gambling or owt.
