In today's show we saw the contestant deal only to be given the opportunity to gamble at the end. Should the banker do this or is it against the spirit of the show? If you do like it, would you like to see more of it?

It is a nice twist but it should only be an occasional thing and when there is an actual real decision to be made, unlike today...

It's a good thing but should only be used every now and then...

It's a good twist which should be used occasionally, although I didn't like it when it first started, partly because they used it on Phyl who was not the right player to use it on. Today's show is the sort of situation where it should be offered for tension. However, with Semi it was obvious he was going to accept it, and with George it was obvious he was going to decline it, so I don't think it's been properly used yet really.

I think on occasion it should be used. I wasn't expecting it today and so it was a surprise.

It'll be interesting to see when or if it's used when £250,000 is in play and the player has dealt.

I'd like to see it a little more often to be honest, it's a good twist.

Personally, I don't like it. Deal means deal. I think when a player has made their decision, they should have to stick with it. They were obviously happy enough to accept the sum of money when it was offered.

For those who have yet to learn where this twist originated. The "Second Chance" (or The Banker's Gamble we call it here) twist was originally introduced on the Australian verson but it's only used on certain occasions, down to the producers descretion to when to use it. It's more likely (given the time lengths between each show) it'll be adapted here once in a while.

I won't be surprised if they bring in "Double or Nothing" at a future date. Those blue boxes for the LTL might have some use after all ;)

I think it nees to be done on a blue/power 5 finish where the deal taken is in the low range of what could be offered (say 15k, then the player ends up with 75k/blue), and the player is a statistician who may or may not accept, and not a nervous wreck like Phyllis....

I needs to be one that some will take and some won't - Semi's was "too safe" in that respect!

i'm not sure, a blue vs power 5 is 'manipulative dodgy territory' and I'd hate to see it used on blue vs 250K.

It's a good twist, and I agree with H - it's not been well used. The time to use it is when it's possible, but not certain, that the contestant will go for it. This is usually going to be on blue/power 5 finishes though.
