As any contestants/pilgrims will know at the start of each show just before the cameras roll the contestants all do a light-hearted and comical dance to the DOND theme music. Its good fun and helps get everybody in the Dream Factory in the mood for the show. The dance seems to vary, maybe being based on what happened during the previous show.

Two questions;

1. Who picks the dance, do the contestants themselves decide, or do the crew tell them what they should do?

2. Has the dance ever actually been seen on TV during a show (I missed alot of the first year).

There was a christmas dance in 2006 with Rachel, Wrighty, Claudiene, Sue etc which was shown during the show to the theme music.

They did an Easter chick dance in Gabrielle's show in April 2006 (I think it was her show). I seem to remember Massimo getting into it quite a bit and Noel making a joke about it, and also Dot looking rather confused and just moving her arms about.

They showed the dance on boxing day 2005.

There must have been hundreds of different dances done during the show's run...one that sticks to mind as a pilgrim was on a 4th July special episode where the 22 joined hands and high-kicked themselves to the theme tune.

And let's not forget the Robot Dance last year! Barry being so realistic I thought he actually was a robot, and Rita deciding to Vogue instead...

It's been shown a couple of times.

I think they should scrap the titles every so often and just show us the contestants dancing to the theme tune.

Good idea, would make for a nice bit of variety.

The best dance we did was when Mark who is deaf was on the show we had Noel in fits of laughter it was a very rude gesture in signing(its a load of b..........ks) Noel asked Mark what the sign was some time throughout the show and we thought it would make a good dance his face was a picture when he saw us all doing it
