With a 1p and £20,000 finish what would be enough
to get you to deal? Choose the lowest amount you would deal at.

I voted £5,000 but it's borderline... £4,000 would be a no deal, but anything of £7,000 upwards would be a definite deal.

I thought about this earlier when I saw the show.

I said I wouldn't deal for anything under £5,000. Anything between £5,000 - £10,000 I would consider and anything over £10,000 would be a deal.

I was thinking about it earlier too, and my thoughts were - £5,000 to consider a deal, £6,000 to confirm one.

Depends how I felt on the day, but I reckon about 6k would be my tipping point. A lot would depend on how I got to that position - I'd be more likely to take it if it was the highest offer of the game, whereas if you'd come down from a position of strength, such as in Charly's game (with the 1p there instead of £10), I'd be more likely to be determined to make the banker pay....

1p wouldn't influence me over any of the other low blues!

£6,000 would be the absolute minimum, but I may still ND at that.

£5k would be the absolute least I'd deal at. It would all depend on what box number I had.

It would depend on how I felt on the day and how my game had gone/what box I had/what the remaining box was/what I had in my boxes recently.

I'd say the minimum I would deal at is probably £5,000.

If I had 1p in my box the previous day I'd be more incline to no deal and vice versa with £20,000, even though the odds are still the same and past events don't affect the game but I'd get so worked up about it that that is how I would think under pressure.

But that's me sitting here in front of a computer. I might think different if I was sat in the chair.

6/6.5K. I have decent circumstances so wouldn't mind no dealing a few grand and crashing to a blue anyway.

Whatever's half as useful to me as twenty grand. I suspect that's about £5k or slightly more...

Oh look at that. According to the utility curve I last revised in April, the sum of money that's half as useful as £20,000 is... £5,278.

And the sum of money that's half as useful as £250,000 is... £18,056... but I'd need £15k to deal on 1p/£100k by that approach. As I've said before, £250k really isn't much more than £100k to me.

I need to revise my utility curve though...

£7,000 for me.

Surely £10,000 is half as useful as £20,000? :?

You just disproved your own point by deciding you'd settle for £7,000 on that finish!

£9,000 is generous and £8,000 is fair and anything below is just using the 1p as an excuse for a low offer, hence insulting. Therefore i'd be looking for £8,000+

But some players of the present would settle for 2k on that finish which is a joke :? :x

As I said before, normally 6k would be difficult for me to turn down, but in Margaret's game, I think I'd have turned down anything south of 9k, as I would have been determined to get box 11 on the table. My decision would be based on what boxes were left, and how my luck had been up to that point.
