What does everyone think about the Banker's tactic of using this Necklace this week?? Personally I can really see the main advantage suiting the Banker, I mean its unlikely that any player would Deal before deciding to use it, so it makes it much easier for the Banker to play them. What I don't like however is the way this seems to have turned into the Banker revealing future offers, which sort of defeats the purpose. Also, one query, what would happen if someone desired to keep their 'Love-heart' box til the end??

Any thoughts?

It's a great twist which is interesting as it can be used at any point of the game. Although in the first two games this week, it actually made the players win less than normal, it would seem.

I guess a player could choose not to use it - for example if they got to 5-box and got a very good offer that they wanted to deal, then they'd probably deal and the heart's offer would be in proveout.

If they left the heart box to the end, I guess there'd be no offer after the last box has been opened. :P

I like it. It's added an extra element to the game, but unlike at Halloween or Christmas it hasn't altered the game too much like letting the Banker being able to see in certain boxes and play all sorts of mind games.

So in a sense the heart should work in the players favour more than the Banker's. Though that doesn't necessarily seem to be the case.

I also think the fact the Banker has started to guarantee what he's going to offer if the player goes on interesting as well. It gives the player another thing to think about in their mind. By knowing what he's going to offer next gives you the chance to consider whether it's worth taking the risk in a one box game for another £5,000/£2,000 (or whatever extra it may be). As long as it's not done on a regular basis though.

Another thought I had for the heart was, how about when a player chooses the box with the heart on it that the Banker makes an offer before it's opened.

Interesting thought, but it wouldn't be much different I don't think, as you get to choose who you hang the necklace on at the start, so you know when it's going to be used...

I like it. It's added only an extra twist to the game in a week which could have easily been ruined by adding too much.

Yeah it wouldn't be much different than the way it's used now.

But say if someone got down to 3-box, after turning down £26,000 or so at 5-box, with two low blues or reds against the £250,000, then the Banker could make his offer before it's opened, perhaps £40,000? The player would then have to choose between either taking the offer or choose to open the last box, which obviously if it's the £250,000 it's game over, but if it was another blue then the offer would be £50,000+ (hopefully).

Similar to how it works now, but at least this way you don't have to actually open the heart box, which might end up containing a big number and your offer would shoot down, like on Monday.

The heart being left to the end should guarantee a swap.

That's how I thought that it worked at first. I quite like this heart element. It encourages the players to play on a bit longer than they usually would.

Would have made a hell of a difference on Monday!!!
