As promised, here is the poll in which I have compiled all the answers from the tensest game thread. Let's find out what the consensus is. There are 30 overall, so I've divided it into 3 polls of ten, arranged alphabetically. The top three vote garnerers from each poll after a week will move onto a final poll. Happy voting!

I'm voting Lance as I found it very tense due to the fact that he ws a legend and I wanted him to do well. My other choices would have been Graeme and Lynne...

Again tough choice but I voted for Lance. Laura's game would of been my vote choice if her win had come as a surprise.

The end wasn't particularly tense but his game was as he was a legend! Has to be Lance

I voted for greame, after a bad start and turning the game around, i am glad he picked peter, as he had mostly blues in his boxes, i really thought he was going to no deal.

Second was Lynne, just at the end, like chris game a really low blue.

Had to go for Lance - how much I like the contestant plays a huge part in it - the tension was really about the round from 5-box, whereas a lot of others are on the big box-opening at the end!

The 5 box tension in Lance's game was immense however it all stopped when he said deal at 2 box.

Laura's whole game was spoiled by those masses who flooded the forum while and before her game was shown.

Lynne gets the vote for me, cos before that there was a massive drought of power 5 box wins so a 75k box win was special. I suppose we're getting like that again at the moment.

Interesting - I don't understand that at all.

Even if he'd no dealt the final offer, I didn't think there would have been much tension there - he was going to win 75k, 87k or 100k whatever he did, all of which to me are very close to each other, so by then it doesn't really matter, you're assured a life-changing amount no matter what.

I thought the same about Lynn who had the 75k/50k finish, there wasn't much tension there even though she no-dealt - it was all in the round before.

Games like that (and you can count Doug in there too) are mainly about taking out the last remaining blues/low reds!

Of course, when the 250k is involved like it did with Kirsty then it becomes a completely different matter! :)

Sorry lathebault, I don't mean to keep getting at you! :)

I can't say! I really don't know how I can vote on this. I don't know how you can compare Lance (perfect round 6 for one of the most popular players in history) with Kirsty (getting to the perfect final three and then going for the £250k) or Graeme ('unluckiest man in the world' gets all his luck at once after a huge gamble) or Hannah (where £10,000 suddenly felt like £100,000)...

...I think Jennifer probably stands out in terms of impact at the time. The game was new and fresh, and even her eight-box offer was the biggest ever turned down at that point!!

And yet I think the events of Lynne's game top it. To go from an ultra-stable position to all-or-peanuts and then to go for it... but I didn't watch that. I did, however, follow it on Bother's Bar web commentary, and that was scary!!

In short, I can't vote! Just impossible to compare.

Probably not going to get another vote but i found Jon G's rather tense.

Graham a close second though.

I went for Graeme as there was tension + surprise all the way from 8 box. Also due to the offer generosity turned down and the fact that I might well have gone at 21K and 41K not a doubt!

Lynne and Jennifer would both be very close for me though!

It absolutely has to be Lynne's for me. The other games were good, but Lynne's was the one that I was really hoping that it would work out OK for her.

Ooh, that's tough! I'm almost certain it would have been Laura had we not known the result beforehand and I might have voted for Kirsty had I watched it at home and not with the sound turned down in a bar at Gatwick Airport... As it is, Graeme gets my vote. One of the most unexpected games of all time.

Just a reminder that this poll will be closed at 5 AM. Unless there is a large turnaround in voting, it seems as though Graeme, Lance, and Lynne will make it to the final vote!
