As promised, here is the poll in which I have compiled all the answers from the tensest game thread. Let's find out what the consensus is. There are 30 overall, so I've divided it into 3 polls of ten, arranged alphabetically. The top three vote garnerers from each poll after a week will move onto a final poll. Happy voting

Orry gets my vote here. My other choices would've been 1p Trevor, Morris and Rodney...

I voted for Morris here, Orry came a very close second though.

On normal games I'd have gone with Morris as he really did believe... but the stunt pulled in PJs game gave it a bit extra spice

You can't make me choose out of Morris and Orry... Orry.

Absolutely had to be Morris - I'd watched it for a relatively short time, and wouldn't have had any idea that there could be spoilers about a 250k win - so that was far more tense than both Laura who I knew about and Kirsty who had a far-better back up sum than Morris!

i wasn't sure so I went for Morris. 81K was a huge gap, despite the 20K fallback.

I went for Orry. It would have been Rodney's, but I'd read a spoiler about his game. Maria and Morris were both guaranteed £15k and £20k. With PJ's game, it was obvious what was about to happen, and I don't remember the other games.

It has to be Maria for me. Quite simply the most unexpected game of all time. Orry trails not far behind at all though, and honorable mentions to Rodney and Theresa (who I'm surprised no one's mentioned yet; I thought her 5-box round was incredibly tense!)

Can't really say... Morris had to be up there, and it was when I really cared about the show, but I think I did have this feeling a £250k win would be spoiled. Although I only completely thought of that after it was done... but I did sense it was going to be £20k for him.

Morris also had an unstable board all the way from eight-box so that added to the drama.

PJ's certainly made one feel tense. And angry.

Orry's game was a desperately painful collapse, and the one-to-open lark made it a lot better.

Maria's was the single game most ruined by the need to make a show fit a precise 45-minute length...

Gah, goodness knows. It's obvious, though, Morris will get through, and I won't object to that choice from you!

I agree. I remember realising that something big was going to happen when the third part started before 4.40pm. If only they'd played her on a weekend, where they can get away with making it a bit longer.

Bloody hell, that's impossible... I could quite easily vote for any of Maria, Orry, Ron or Trevor but just for the sheer emotion involved, Trevor wins it here.

Maria, even tenser for me because I was at the recording. She was an inch away from dealing at times, Maria took absolutely ages to make the decisions and loads had to be edited out. After listening to her reasoning every single person in the studio was 100% certain she would deal the two box offer, if you watch it back the look on everybodys faces says it all when she no-deals.

Now that is interesting! I thought the only offer of the game worth even a second thought was at five-box (it really was just like Gaz's game!) - maybe Maria was in fact relatively cautious but just got caught up somehow, or was aided by low offers...

Out of them, probably the only tense one in there has to be Trevor. And
his was pretty much the tensest of all time (1p, £250 and £250k left - doesn't get much tenser than that).

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

Just a reminder that this poll will be closed at 5 AM. Unless a large turnaround occurs, it will be Maria, Morris, and Orry going to the final vote.
