No one has yet dealt at the 1st or 2nd offer in broadcast shows. How long do you think it will be before it happens? If you know any spoilers about this please don't vote.

1st - possibly never
2nd - is possible with inflated offers and a targetist in the chair.

2nd I think will happen once and then they will pay dearly.

My prediction:

A second-offer deal will happen in the next year, but be left unaired.

I don't think the first offer will ever be taken, unless the Banker offers something like £26,000 at the first offer. In which case then I think someone might take it.

As for the second offer I think this is much more likely, depending on the state of the board and what the Banker offers I think we could see a deal here, especially if the offer is around £30,000.

I have a feeling it will happen this year. I have this strange feeling that they would actually like one person to do it just for a talking point.

Plus just imagine if someone dealt the first offer and got an OPW.

I predict it will be likely the second offer will be taken before 2010 and possibly the first offer as a joke. I hope for either case the player has the most gutting proveout ever so we can laugh hard at them especially the eventual joker who will take the 1st offer for a laugh. Oh it would be amazing to see their face get rubbed into it.

Thing is, you'd have to have an disaster of a game for the first or second offer to be the highest, and for all the show goes on about luck, I really don't think any contestant goes onto the show expecting their game to go like that.

As has been said, a targetist might deal the 2nd offer, but even a lot of them don't think they're going to knock out all the highest amounts (which would severely dent the following offer) in the next round.

I think we may get a second offer deal if we have a targetist in the chair who has 2 all-blue rounds (or similar) and is faced with a £30,000+ second offer. This will probably happen by the end of the year.

As for the first offer, as others have said, I think it'll take someone who is messing about to deal it - and it certainly could happen - especially as they're looking for more wacky contestants.

I'm surprised they haven't had one yet who is just there for the Michael-take and has either dealt the first offer or stripped half way through their game or something. Or turned up drunk etc...

Does anyone know if a 1st/2nd offer deal has ever happened on any version of DOND worldwide? Be interesting to know.

I'm utterly convinced a second offer deal will happen at some point though. A cautious targetist will come to the chair, be offered something in the region of £20k and deal. A first offer deal is less likely, but it may happen if afformentioned cautious targetist plays after a run of unlucky games. I'm not sure if I'd like either to happen, but the proveout would be interesting.

A second-offer Deal in the Australian primetime version is the only one I can name off the top of my head.
