I think to date Bunney is the most hilarious player to be on Deal or No Deal, and because of that he is currently my best ever player :D

There are, and have been, many discussions regarding a 'best ever Deal or No Deal player'.

Pat M and Lance have so far been unanimous choices; Pat was the winner in a head-to-head vote earlier this year, but Lance won a more recent head-to-head against Jean.

My personal favourite for the record would have to be Jim R; mostly silent on the wings, but he showed signs of his great humour and he indeed went all-out on his game. :D

As an oldie, i think the most natural funny person on the wings and in the crazy chair was Russell.
He was the contestant who represented "Deal or No Deal" at the awards ceremony.

I don't judge people by what they do on the wings; it isn't their show yet.

The ATTITUDE of a player and the way the GAME goes has to balance for it to be a great show. Personally, I can't name a favourite.

I have a few. Brenda(1), as her show was the first I watched all the way through, so she'll always be a special player for me. My favourite player ever has to be Julie from January. She was fabulous, both in the wings and in her game. Susan who played in February is a close 2nd.

I'd have to say Pat M, I think! For 2005 I'd say Andy K and for 2007 I'd say Bunney, but Pat M wins 2006 and the whole run combined.

Wow tough choice.

It's so hard to choose just one, but people like Pat M, Bunney in the earlier days and more recently Jean & Denis i've liked.

Hi Aaron, re your comments (I don't judge people by what they do on the wings; it isn't their show yet)Surely as soon as a contestant appears he is part of the show, throughout thier time on the wings each comment is noted and if interesting enough it is brought up while they are in the crazy chair, even what they do in the hotel after the show is now fair game.
During my time on the show some of the games would of been quite boring if not for some funny quips shouted out by a contestants, i know it's only your opinion but surely if the contestants were not part of the show they may as well do it like the american shows without contestants.
I wonder what anybody else thinks?

I agree with The Don (John M) here - the contestants are (in my opinion) what make the show, and this makes DOND different from other gameswhows such as Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, where we don't get to know anything about the contestants before they play. One of the main things that appealed to me about DOND when I started watching is that the banter with the contestants on the wings makes DOND more than just a gameshow...

I agree with The Don & h2005 on this point.

Half of the entertainment from the players comes whilst they are on the wings, be it witty remarks or some funny advice.

A lot of my favourite moments has actually been from contestants on the wings.

Just for example whilst J.C was on the wings he and the Banker (IMO) provided some great one liners which in turn made me look forward to his game even more.

Whilst the actual game of DOND remains the core element of the show, it's the interaction between Noel, the players & the banker that help make it so entertaining.
