I wanted to make this test spcifically for some members on this Forum.

1. You have a board of 50p/£5/£100/£500/£250,000. You are asked personally whereabouts you'd deal. Would you deal at...

a: Between £25,000 and £30,000
b: Between £30,000 and £35,000
c: Between £35,000 and £40,000
d: Between £40,000 and £50,000
e: Over £50,000.

--

2. With a board of £75,000 £100,000 and £250,000 at 11 box, and 8 blues, what would you deal? (post the letter that the maximum you would no-deal)

a: £25,000 - £35,000
b: £35,000 - £42,000
c: £42,000 - £50,000
d: £50,000 - £60,000
e: Over £60,000

--

3. You're left with 1p and £75,000. You're offered £35,000. What percentage of you would be tempted to take it?

a: 100% - 81%
b: 80% - 61%
c: 60% - 41%
d: 40% - 21%
e: Below 20%

--

4. You're left with 1p and £100,000 and you've been offered £41,000. What percentage of you would be tempted to take it?

a: 100% - 81%
b: 80% - 61%
c: 60% - 41%
d: 40% - 21%
e: Below 20%

--

5. Someone deals for £9,000 at the third offer when they have 2 of the power 5 and a stack of reds, and Noel rubs it in. What percentage of you wants to rub it in as well?

a: 0% - 20%
b: 21% - 40%
c: 41% - 60%
d: 61% - 80%
e: Over 81%

--

6. You're left with £500/£750/£3k/£75k/£250k. The banker is talking to you. He says, "Take this now, it's £21,000." What is your response?

--

7. You are a playing a special episode and are left with £1 and £500,000. The offer is £190,000. Do you...

a: Deal?
b: Agonise then Deal?
c: Ask for advice and think about it for ages?
d: Agonise then No Deal?
e: No Deal?

--

8. You are playing a very special episode where you're left with £50 and £1,000,000. You are offered an immense £350,000. Do you...

a: Deal?
b: Agonise then Deal?
c: Ask for advice and think about it for ages?
d: Agonise then No Deal?
e: No Deal?

-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-

If you said mostly A...

You're not really a wakeyist, maybe you just want that odd gamble when you feel like it or when you feel lucky.

If you said mostly B...

You like an occasional gamble, not quite the wakeyist...

If you said mostly C...

You're on that wakeyist borderline. Not stupid, you know when a gamble gets too much...

If you said mostly D...

You're a big risk-taker. Occasionally likes to take the deal, but usually goes for the moment even in a risky position.

If you said mostly E...

Wakeyist factor 10. You'll turn down anything. Anything. You just came to play a game thats all...

Actually, looking at it again, its not that brilliant an offer, so my response might be something along the lines of "Thanks, but no thanks."

I dont believe I'm overly cautious with this game, I would only deal a quite exceptional 3rd/4th offer (See Paul H's £40k)

90% of the time I'm out at offer 5/6 and in certain cirucmstances, I would continue, especially if the offer was particularly bad

Fair enough!

I sense you would be smart enough to not take anything derisory :)

Absolutely! :D (for the most part..)

Although, I would have taken Ajay's £19,500 and Theresa's £52,000 purely because I wouldn't be happy with the alternative after rejecting that much.

Trouble with this survey is that most people who aren't extreme Wakeyists, myself included, will answer A to questions 1, 2, 3, 4, 7 and 8. Making the offers in the questions a bit lower would have given more interesting results.

5 would annoy me as a viewer though so D or E there, and 6 would be a definite no-deal for me.

I'm with you there, Power5!

I'm thinking of reviving the Dealometer for January with a couple of new twists...
