Do you remember the 'PEANUTS' sign used on the latter of the Christmas specials last year? They haven't used it since that time and it seems like a waste of sign! Do you think they will, or they should have another board value being replaced with something non monetary? Perhaps if the player in the crazy chair has a certain non monetary item asscociated with them such as grassy Mary, they could swap a board amount over with that item? They've done it with offers and one instance with a board value so should we see it again?

Last year for the matinee Boxing Day show they replaced the 1p with PEANUTS - can remember it as if it was yesterday - then Ryan revealing the PEANUTS!!!

I'd love to see something similar happen again - who knows, maybe it will! :D

I'd love to see something similar to what Red did in his game shows, and change one of the middle red amounts with a car for example.

I thought the PEANUTS thing was quite funny. It could be done again this year, perhaps replacing the £10 with a turkey or something. But, no, it can't be done this year because the Christmas shows aren't going to be fun... they're going to be Star specials with sob stories. Great. Not to mention the possibility of Orry dressing up as a woman...

Anyway, I wouldn't like to see any of the "red" values being replaced with items... I think it'd get a bit too Americanised if the £20k was replaced with a car or something...

I've looked briefly at the aussie DOND and it looks like the car is always there.

It would be interesing on our DOND if they just said 'your offer is this' and the DOND board flashed up with a picture of a car sitting in the car park

Oh larks it was Conor!!! OK, maybe it was a little while back hehe! Can still remember Noel handing out the peanuts to eat hehe!!!

Yeah the car idea is very American-ised but I think the show has spoken for itself; the show is getting a bit bland now and needs another new twist. The sparingly-used dream offers are obviously good but without sounding too nagging-like, we need something new.

It was a novel idea and i'm just imagining now if it had been won and you went in the hall of fame for founding the peanuts club :)

And it would be interesting if on the rare occasion they put something different in the boxes. Like replace the £1,000 with a Plasma TV or something. But for me DOND is about the money and so they should never mess around with the format too much. I'm all for jokey signs and cheap prizes but things like cars and holidays etc I wouldn't be keen on.

Making the £1,000 into a Plasma TV would actually make people appreciate how much a grand is after a trainwreck or something.

After turning down £20,000 and winning £1,000 you think it's pocket change because you compare it with the £20,000 you turned down. If you won a plasma TV however, you think 'yes, I'm going away with an excellent prize'
