Sorry if this already exists,

I find it SO irritating how he rubs it in if a contestant deals too early, or has made a mistake. he actually makes me CRINGE and it is PAINFUL to watch! I nearly turn the tv off sometimes....

Is he told to do this by Producers - or is this his true personality?

I really don't care if he does this. It would be so boring if he said "Oh I'm so sorry, it's such a shame. I hate doing this.." It's the kind of thing that Dale bloke would do. If the contestant deals they havge already thought of the fact they might make the wrong decision, so it's their own fault and should have it rubebd in.

I'm fed up with people complaining aboout Noel and his gambling attitude. Noel just wants another £250k winner. If you're fed up with it, then just DON'T WATCH THE SHOW!

Rant over.

thanks for all of your Comments - *to Aaron* I see what you are saying, but I can't turn it off - I just find Noel upsets contestants sometimes... and "me" personally, I don't like it, Yes, I think he can be a great presenter who engages you into the programme."

Im not naturally a Moaner, I 90% love the show it is just that tiny thing that I feel is letting it down. I don't mean to offend Anyone.

Don't let aaron's outburst worry you, cookie.

It was a truly bizarre outburst:

1) This is a forum to *discuss* Deal Or No Deal. So of course people are going to often make critical comments about aspects of the show, just as they are going to often make positive comments about aspects of the show. There would be no need for the forum if nobody was allowed to make critical comments from time to time.

2) What sort of forum would this be if the underlying rule was 'Never say anything critical or stop watching the show'? (The answer is an incredibly dull and unintelligent forum.)

3) Going by aaron's bizarre criteria, we could just as easily say to him: If you don't want to read critical discussion of Deal or No Deal then just STOP LOGGING ON HERE.

Turning to your original point, cookie, I don't really agree.

But for heaven's sake, let's *please* never go down the road of 'you have to say everything's great or else don't post'. That would be an insult to all of our's intelligence.

I THINK He seems to want to find some way to be negative.Like today when the 75,000 went.I think He upsets contestants like leanne who looked dissapointed to begin with.He needs to learn the value of money

I believe it is the production team making Noel behave in this way, as it's against his beliefs (according to his Positively Happy book) to behave in such a negative manner - having guilt trips, regrets, looking back and so on.

It's a shame that he can't tell Endemol he doesn't want to do it - he's already said he'd leave if they did a celebrity version, so why not tell them he'll leave if they keep making him do guilt trips? Or maybe he has told them and they didn't like it!

His guilt trip was quite bad in Alex's game in February, and I think since then he has got worse in many games, but he is better in others - it does tend to vary. :? The guilt trips are irritating and unfair, and nowadays he seems to want the contestant to be guilty until proven innocent - i.e. he's working on the assumption they've done a bad deal, even before the game is over!

Saying "No no no, that's not good enough, it's just not good enough" when a high amount is revealed post-deal is strange and serves only to try and put a dampner on things when the contestant has dealt at a high amount (Gus' game and Lisa's game today comes to mind here).

:(

But Noel's been around for years and years, surely he can tell Endemol if they ask him to do something he doesn't want to do?

it was a bit irritating the way he said. "you've only lost out on £6,000." that is a lot of money. if he hadnt said the £75,000 going was not good enough, i dont think the offer would have gone up at all

In all honesty it's putting me off ever wanting to go on the show to be hones, it just seems very unpleasant and back-stabby. I suppose that might be a bit much though, after all, they need to make some way of getting £24,000 for just opening some boxes seem worthwhile!

I am being a little put off, Being shouted at for making a mistake - at the end of the day it comes down to chance - it isn't the contestants fault - Some people have less money than others for example my dad doesn't have much money, he said if he got offered £10k first offer he would walk. He would probably knock out Noel if Noel started shouting at him

Totally agree with the above.

I try to let debate run freely on the site and for the majority of the time this works well. People will always have differences of opinion on subjects and quite rightly have the freedom to express those opinions in a civilised way. Where it can and does go wrong is when there is no constructive back up to an opinion and it's just an insult or a couple of words attack on the subject with no real substance to the remark. It's in those situations that the poster may well find their posts removed or edited.

Anyway, back on topic!!

Yes, Noel can get quite tedious in his comments to the contestants in their proveout rounds. I wonder how much is down to editing and control by the production crew, and how much is down to Noel's own beliefs, as they both will have a certain degree of control over each show.

At the end of the day the production crew are out to make an entertaining show and in doing so will have to use various methods to do this. Some of these are going to be popular and others are not.

It would be interesting to hear from contestants and people who have been in the audience during the shows where Noel does rant away in the proveout rounds. We might get an insight into how the atmosphere is in the studio and if it differs to what we see onscreen.

first of all, i hate noel. He should be replaced by...Richard Hammond. Richard would be the worst man ever for the job and he's better than Noel. I hate Noel's temper, and why the bloody hell cant he SHUT UP??
Does he have a problem or something? Cant he see that people just want to watch some people open boxes and win money, with a bit of entertainment here and there, not watch some old man that thinks hes still 21 going on about 1 thing all the time and a contestant who A)isnt prepared to make the show good enough to watch by no dealing something £6k under her target[yes i know she dealt] and B) takes WAY too long to choose boxes.

Rant OVER.

Good day everyone :-D

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.
