Just a quick question - does anyone know when this show is repeated? I'm thinking of watching it live, but it clashes with X Factor, and I don't really want to wait 'til Sunday to find out the result of that.

Can't help feeling if they were going to put this show on a Saturday, maybe 8pm would've been *slightly* better. And why exactly did it move from Sundays, again?

Looks like it's on More4 at 3am  Anyone for staying up late?

Can't figure out the weekend scheduling policy at all, I've suggested for ages they've been trying to kill off the weekend episode by first putting it up against Corrie on Sundays and now X Factor on Saturday. Not sure what benefit they get from it at all now, 5 days a week would be fine, with the occasional prime-time special for things like the birthday shows?

All i know is that they moved the show from sunday to saturday because of Noels show on sky one, are you smarter than a ten year old, cause isnt it because somebody is not aloud to present two different shows on two different channels on the same day are something like that!

No, not at all. You can have the same presenter front two shows on different channels on the same day. Heck, they can even do it at the same time! Look at Dermot O'Leary when he did X Factor and 1 Vs. 100!

I think he means at the same time - if Deal stayed on on a Sunday, both shows would be on simultaneously, whereas 1 vs 100 and The X Factor slightly overlapped at the very most!

X Factor and 1 Vs 100 overlapped by quite a lot, which means they were on simultaneously! Besides, there is no such broadcasting law which states that the same presenter can't present shows on different channels at the same time.

The most likely explanation for Deal being moved to a Saturday is that Channel 4 didn't want it clashing with Are You Smarter; not that they had to move it due to any rules or regulations.

It depends on the contract Noel has signed with Channel 4, and the one he signed with Sky. The reason for the move is so that the two shows didn't clash, whether or not it was because of contractual issues is unclear.

Smarter than a 10 year old is on from 6pm till 7pm. Just before Deal moved from Sunday to Saturday, it was on from 7.15pm till 8pm, and before that, it was on around about 5pm, so I don't think the two shows would have overlapped at all. 1 vs 100 and X Factor did overlap by quite a while, about half an hour or so.

I prefered the first birthday show to this one as they wore hats and stuff and I was really into that game, but I found it hard to get into Helen's :(

Noel's contract has two clauses.

1 - He cannot present any programmes on daytime while presenting Deal or No Deal. However, he can appear on chat shows as a guest (Richard & Judy, Paul O'Grady etc...)
2 - He cannot present any programmes running the same time as Deal or No Deal. The original schedule was to have 10 year old broadcast at 7pm on Sundays. As you know, DoND was airing at 7.15pm-8.00pm. This has now changed to 6pm.

Regarding 1 Vs 100. Endemol & Dermot O'Leary were set to record and produce a third series for the autumn. In addition, they kept back two episodes from the second series to kick off the third. However, as he signed up for The X-Craptor months after the recomission. The BBC & Endemol decided to put back the new series to the new year, promising an extended run. Since it's a bit silly to hold on two episodes for 14 months, the Beeb burned them off for two weeks in August.

ditto - the first show was simpler but it felt too contrived this year.

AARRRH interesting that explains why when a schedled 10 year old was due to be aired at 7pm but then changed to 6pm instead.it got me comfused. X factor i don't watch anyway,so not bothered about that. i didn't know dick n doms show was going to start so soon, although having said that i noted the same show for transmission on sunday & friday on sky one so my 1st thoughts that noels show was going out at 6 on sundays with dick n doms on fridays at 8 but that soon proved me wrong,so my other thoughts were as there were 10 shows each one would run its course with the other to follow, that would take them both to well into the new year.if my caluculations are right.i'll make a note of that date

The 8pm airing on Friday night is the repeat from the previous Sunday night primetime episode.
