Ok DOND is 2 years old today as everyone knows and over the course of these 2 years DOND has introduced many different twists to the standard gameplay, including swaps at any stage, reversing a deal, an offer after every box at 5 stage and even the Banker being able to see inside a box (though we haven't seen this in action yet).

But what surprises do you think they'll come up with next?

I think we may see the inclusion of an offer after every box right from the start of someone's game and maybe even the Banker not offering any offers at all to someone and make them play to the end and open their box.

How about a reverse swap against a 1p vs £250,000 final.

What do you think they'll do next and what do you hope they don't?

There'll be deviations from 5-3-3-3-3-3, not all of them will be 5-3-3-3-3-1-1-1, beyond that I'm not even gonna guess.

Offer patterns will go haywire and back again.

I predict the ability for the player to make their own offer to be an integral part of the game.

There'll also be at least one thing that gets us talking that none of us imagined.

I bet that half the things coming are ones that none of us would ever predict. Like, erm, The Banker doubling his offer if the player can answer a Deal or No Deal trivia question correctly, or a first round consisting of 1p, 10p, 50p, £1...and then the Banker ringing up and offering £20,000 on the trot, but then saying that it'll be doubled if the £5 goes next. Or something.

I like to think that we'll see a second-offer Deal but it'll only be if the offers suddenly become huge again, given how it's been 83 shows since anyone dealt at the third. That and we'll see more dream offers, more 'Undeals' (with at least one actually taken), and either a huge load of 1p wins (like Year 1) or a huge load of six figure ones (like Year 2)...or both!

Hard to predict what twists we will see, most of them have come as a complete surprise! I definitely expect more variation in the standard gameplay in terms of the offer pattern - maybe even in the board amounts on occasions. I know the 1000th show won't happen until the following year if it's still going then, but perhaps that will give us the first £1m board?

If this week is anything to go by, I think there will be more twists involving extra boxes - maybe an opportunity to bring a "box 23" into play which could contain any amount? Or the chance to bring a random eliminated amount back into the game?

I suspect we'll be seeing some more final offers being swaps, definitely more dream offers (they have a special offer graphic for it after all...) and possibly some more undeal offers.

I imagine we also might get a Love Week for Valentine's in February (I believe they had one in 2006, but not 2007, bizarrely...) and possibly an Easter Week in March / April (whenever Easter is this year...). Also, isn't there a Euro football thing in 2008? So maybe DOND will do something towards that... they had the Double Deal Week in 2006 to provide an alternative to the World Cup 2006 football, so maybe we'll see that again! I doubt they'll do anything football themed though.

I reckon we'll also see more odd banker behaviour in terms of offer generosity, and we'll be seeing more twists, such as boxes being re-introduced into the game etc. and they may find a way of combining the trick / treat thing into certain games. It wouldn't seem fair if they did it occasionally, but I don't think anyone can really say what is / isn't fair any more as there have been so many unique games now! :P

I can't see a football-themed show simply because C4 don't really have any football coverage rights, so it's not something they would really want to promote... though strangely they did a Wimbledon show in 2006 which is another event the BBC cover. :?

If England don't qualify though, there will be little public interest really so probably no need to do anything special to compete with it!

And they won't, so there won't! :D

There'll definitely be more dream offers, the Undeal will happen again I suspect, and people may be onto something in their suspicions that new twists will involve changes with the boxes.

Contestants must now be prepared for absolutely anything. Is that a good thing? I've no idea.

If it comes from offers like Laura's last one, I'll just be laughing at the Banker defeat more than anything else :D

England probably won't qualify. I predict-

1) More undeal offers.
2) More 500k board and possibly a 750k or 1 million board.
3) A love week, Christmas week, Easter week and Halloween week.
4) A double deal week if England qualify.
5) Possibly a new format for box opening.

I actually think that the banker will actually offer something like...

SWAP + £20,000 changed to £25,000.

Forcing the player to SWAP the box.
