Well, Endemol does receive lots of applications forms for the show

And it's also because they are not accepting new players at the moment, but have notified us to keep watching DOND just in case they say like "application forms for DOND are now available" or something

Hope this helps :-)

Even though you've had an audition it doesn't automatically guarantee you a spot on the show. They only call you if you are one of the extremely lucky ones! I believe some contestants have received the call 12 months after their audition but obviously that is not the case with everyone. It's just a matter of playing the waiting game.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Hi Nesh,

Even if one makes it to an audition, there is still a process of elimination. Most do indeed make it on the show, but some don't. Fingers crossed you're not one of them, but also bear in mind the show has only just come back from a long summer break :)

I might as well make my announcement on here for those who don't already know: on Thursday I was told my application had just been processed (I applied back in late-June/early July). If I have made it any further, I'm going to be contacted in the coming weeks.

Fingers crossed, guys! Try posting your experiences on here (or as much as you're allowed to) :)

Take my advice Divvy, tell 'em you've got a sick mother, a wooden leg, need an urgent operation and your granny's just died.

If that doesn't get you on the show nothing will.

Indeed, I was told by someone who had been to an audition (can't remember who, this was aaaages ago) that you can wait anywhere from between 4 weeks and even 9 months - 12 months before you get "the" call saying you've got a place on the show, if indeed you do get it at all!

I'm sure there are others on here who have had auditions and so on, but don't want to mention anything due to being afraid of upsetting Endemol. I have heard that someone wasn't allowed to go to an audition because they had posted details about it on here, so it's best to keep everything quiet just to be on the safe side.

I sent off my application in January ish, had an audition after Valentines day and then was rung up in April, just after easter, and told i was on after they confirmed my availibility. I spose its just a mix of if you are the right person and if u r free! Good luck though!

Let's not tip toe around the truth - it looks to me like you didn't get through dear.

Could you perhaps try The Weakest Link instead? :-)

 You are not guaranteed a place, you may or may not get a call out of the blue (I was in the dentist's chair  )They have 100,000 UNsuccessful applications in their office. Depends if you made right impression at interview. Mine took about 3 months. Good luck. Brenda. :D
