This week i think has been the week where we have seen the most unfair offers ever. most players this week have not had a chance, Irene today being offered only £1,000.52 for her board that was a derisory offer.

the only high offers we have seen since monday were in teresas game and they were fairly low for her board.

during the weeks when men played they were slightly more fair, why was this?

I think this is because they are trying to get the contestant to play on, and the only way to be sure the player will do that is make bad offers for the board.

It could be worse, we could see The Banker offer multiple swaps here and there. Teresa's £52,000 offer could've been a straight forward swap (no money offered) at the final two.

Have we actually seen a mid-game swap offer since PJ's game? I wonder if the reaction to that means it won't happen again for a while, if ever.

But some of the recent offers on weak boards are so pointless that the player would probably prefer the offer of a swap! Irene might have even swapped for the £75k box... on the other hand, she might have swapped with Jean!

There is no such thing as an 'unfair' offer. The banker is taking a calculated risk in offering low amounts the same as players take a calculated risk in deciding whether to deal or no-deal.

He could have been taken to the cleaners today to the tune of £75k. You wouldn't have been shouting 'unfair' then!

And back in the spring era of inflated offers the number of 3rd offer deals nearly ruined the show. How many golden boards were squandered because abnormally high offers were being dealt. Low offers mean that players have to do a bit more than just turn up and expect to walk off with a huge payout

The trouble is, yes there's every chance of him being taken to the cleaners if she had the 75k, but there's a more than even chance of winning a grand or less, and a 2 in 3 chance thereabouts of 5k or less

I'm not sure on the filming dates for these current games, but they must have been just after the period with a lot of third-round deals, where many complained about it, and they've gone way too far the other way to compensate.

It seems a happy medium is absolutely impossible. :(

You're spot on. These shows were recorded the week after the week of the three round 3 deals (Philip, Rita and Anne-Marie) was shown on TV, but the one week filming break will have taken place between tomorrow's and Monday's show. So next week we'll see the first shows recorded after PJ's game was shown...

The last swap offer to come at a stage other than after the last offer has been no dealt was in PJ's game - as Billy pointed out, the shows that were recorded just after his game were shown are about to be broadcast... I wonder if they were waiting to see the reaction to his game before they made a decision about offering swaps mid-game in the future.

Yeah I think the offers are lower now. some opening offers are higher than they were i mean shell i think was offered just £4,500 for an all-blue opening which would now be around £10k. but at the end, the offers are incredibly lower. Jennifer had the £250,000 with a £750 back up and was offered and incredibly oversized £120,000 whereas rodney was much braver and offered just £85,000 with the same board. and at jennifers 5 box with the top two and three blues she was offered £52,000 and theresa had the same and was offered half of that at £26,000.

I don't think you an really compare the 2005 offers with now though, as they were SO different.

I don't know why the offers are so low right now - it certainly isn't due to Endemol not being able to afford it - I can only imagine it's to create some new twists as it'll mean players will be forced to the end. The games that were on television when these games were recorded had all the early deals of late April and early May - most of which didn't work out - so if the contestants watched DOND in the hotel in the evening (obviously after filming) on More4 or something, then they'd be put off doing early deals so the banker doesn't need to make forcing offers at the moment!

Noel commented on how the morale is very low amongst the contestants, and it wouldn't surprise me if Endemol are offering low offers to force people on just to see what would happen and it's probably backfiring as there have been so many blue wins!

The offers recently just haven't been dealable, lagely through bad luck - but the banker just hasn't been offering anything worth dealing mostly!

That £1,000.52 offer was terrible today. I would have thought £5k or thereabouts for that board. Irene was terribly unlucky today, as have most of the players in the last week.

I would actually. That would have been stupid like Rossano's game. It wouldn't have been much of a gamble at the 5 box stage than if she was offered 4/5K. Excitement comes from people turning down testers. You fail to realise this.

The point of the game is to pitch tricky offers that give people problems not force them to win big or small.

the point of the game is to entertain us. high offers with people obviously dealing them isn't entertainment unless it was a well pitched offer.

alexandras last offer was overinflated. most people wouldn't gamble £26,000 on a coinflip (even with 75k 50% away from you) so the offer should have been a lot lower. tbh there would have been some people on the wings who would have said deal at £15,000 if that was the offer.. the problem is no matter how shocking the final offer is on a final two theres still the chance of their being less in the box.

i just hope to god we dont see the return of the march-april 2007 banker. if we get a period of deals like that again they might lose a viewer. the show is to entertain the viewer and if people aren't entertained with monotonous dealing they will turn off rightly so.

probably not but I don't want to see a swap at the end of the game because that would be pathetic but I'm open to lowish offers occasionally like Theresa's to see people squirm.

I think it'd be cooler if someone wrecked their game by swapping away the Qm at the 1st offer. :?

Surely the worst thing to do (possibly best in terms of producing a memorable game for the wrong reasons) would be to swap the £250k for the 1p at the start and then end up winning the 1p!

And H if that happened i'd need hospitalising my sides would collapse with laughter. Escpeically if everyones like NO NO DONT DO IT DON'T SWAP and the contestant is arrogant like Barbara and defies everyone and loses like that and won 1p from swapping a qm away lol.

I know its evil but I just could not help laughing if it happened!
