As horrific as it would be to see does anyone here think someone will ever have the cajones to risk the wrath of the crowd, noel and everyone else at the deal studios to deal at the second offer?

It would be horrific to see but in a strange way it would be funny to see just to see how much of a guilt trip Noel goes on and crowd reaction.

I personally don't think anyone would dare.

To be honest, when the show first started, I always wanted someone to deal really early because I didn't know how the rest of the show would pan out - would there be a huge proveout? And I guess there would be, even now. Interestingly, I heard that in the early days of the show, the contestants were told that if they dealt at the first (or I think the second) offer, their game wouldn't be shown on TV.

I would love to see a second offer deal, simply to see the reaction on here and the reaction of Noel and everyone else... and also how it would affect games in the near future.

I guess the only time it would happen is if there is a very cautious Beryl (who surprised everyone and dealt at the third offer of £3,100 eighteen months ago) type player and they were playing after a string of trainwrecks, and were offered a Swappy Matt style second offer of £35,000 or something... and decided to deal.

I wonder how the editing would work out? When someone deals at the third offer, they go straight to a break... they might just go straight to POG / R&J if someone dealt the first / second offer. Now we no longer have the LTL and there is more time for the actual game being shown, it would be interesting if someone did the unthinkable (to some ;))! :P

I'd love to see a second offer deal too. And I think Endemol wouldn't mind one now - it'd be a spectacular talking point and the show needs one.

They'd love it more if it was a second-offer sale of the £250k though, probably :S

Just a second offer worth consideration actually getting consideration would be a start!

It would indeed be the unthinkable...but it'd still make brilliant TV, watching someone get a hounding from Noel and the audience, and then go on to reveal £250k in the box

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

I'd love to see one, and it go on to be an OPW - I can think a few examples where if it had been me in the chair, I'd have dealt the second offer AND got an OPW if the prvoeout offers had been what was actually offered anyway - I'm thinking of Wayne, Ashok, Conor, Robot Steve, even possibly Aaron and Swappy Matt (if the hypo swap had been done!) :)

And to read some of the reaction on here would amuse me no end!! :D

I'd like to see it once for novelty value, and to see the reaction of Noel and people on here - would be most interesting if it was either an OPW, or a complete disaster where they missed out on a possible six-figure sum!

Of course it would be crap if it started happening regularly, but as a one-off a deal within the first two offers would be one of the ever decreasing list of realistic gameplay possibilities we haven't seen yet.

I guess it would have to be something like what matt got something like 35K to really tempt someone I think.

I hate to sound cruel but i'd probably laugh too if they dealt at second offer and 250K was in the box  .

Noel and the Banker would be on fire with the inflated prove outs to punish the contestant for backing out so quick lol.

It would be Jeremy kyle like guilt tripping.

If someone had an all powerful start and received a 25K 2nd offer and dealt, it would certainly be interesting, especially if they found the top 4 quickly and didn't have one in their box. The only one I can envisage though is one like Paul h's 28K which is really high for the board, the offers are 2 low at the moment for that too happen.

it's worth noting that Aaron and jasmine would have got OPWs after they both took out 7 blues in the 1st 2 rounds. (We won't go in to Matt's - the swap is mind boggling). And I remember being strangely tempted by Conor's offer and I'm not saying that with hindsight!

The only scenario in which a 1st offer deal could happen is Howard's that's the only one I ever seriously considered!

So would I.

Quite right too. Anybody who deals on the 2nd offer deserves to have their noses rubbed right in it.

It'll never happen though. If somebody as insipid as Stuart yesterday resisted the temptation of an excessively generous 2nd offer then anyone can.

Depending on the player, I would too. As unlikely as it may seem, a second offer deal is going to happen one of these days. Someone will take out 8 blues in the first 8 boxes, be offered a large amount of money, and they'll deal. I think someone will go at the first offer at some point too. Most likely, it'll be a person with a target driven game, once they reach their target, they're off, regardless of the board.

aaah debts
it might be a student lol

I can just imagine Noel going all Jeremy kyle on the contestant like JK is to scummy Chavs.

"you could have had so much more money but you were STUPID..FACT!"

Excessively generous? I don't think so, it was fairly modest/normal considering he'd whacked out 7 blues. It could have been nearer 30K.
