Board:

100k/250k

You just turned down 85k on a board of 3,000/35,000/75,000/100,000/250,000. The banker decides he is going to reward your courage and add 100k to the offer.

Offer: 185,000!!

Deal or No Deal? 8)

My mom said deal at 130k

There has been much discussion about this in the past and I've always said I'd probably never get to be in such a position because I'd probably deal at the 5-box stage - and in this case, £85k would've got me out of the chair.

I don't doubt that the banker would give a high final offer to reward courage but I'm not sure he would go as high as £185,000 as that'd mean it'd be £10,000 above the mean - in which case I'd deal! I'd probably deal anything of about £160k or more on the dream final two.

H has already said it - you won't get an offer above £175,000. But for the record, anything offered with the dream finish I'd have to deal because yeah fair play the minimum you'd go away with is £100,000, but anything extra you'd wanna take as well, surely! Sure you 'couldn't lose', but come the end of the day it depends what you'd like to do with the money.

I know he probably wouldn't offer that, but I wanted to see who on this site would have the guts to no deal. I would because 100k would change my life. Plus, since I live in the US it would really be $200k. :D

By the way, how do you make the pound sign on the keyboard? It's been bugging me.

No Deal, I'd be aiming for the confetti and a £100,000 win would not bother me in the slightest, it would change my life so much!

With an English keyboard you press "Shift & 3" for the Pound sign and "Shift & 4" for the Dollar sign. However, if you have an American keyboard I'm not too sure.

Personally, I would deal absolutely any offer above the mean because as soon as an offer is above the mean the loss is greater than the gain and so I wouldn't think it was worth it. (For example, £750.01 on a £500/£1,000 would get me out- Julian's £551 would have too)

Red - I used to have an american English keyboard, and i managed to change the language to English English. But i dont know how i did it.

And Absolutely NO DEAL with that offer - you should know by now mate that even £251,000 won't get a wakeyist [moslty Me, Basicasic or wakey1512], out of the chair. That offer is very gnerously £10k over the mean, but i'd still no deal.

Um, Deal. What redrum said.

I think I'd look for £160,000 like H.

I would probably deal because of the generosity but 15-20+ K less and i would no deal.

It's a winning scenario whatever way for a high deal/no deal accolade

With the dream scenario, no deal to any offer. I'd be over the moon with £100,000. I'd be far more disappointed to deal and find I had the £250,000 than no deal and have the £100,000.

My mum's the same. Usually, she's saying deal, and I'm screaming at the player to carry on. There's only been a role reversal once, with Annie's game last week.

I would go all the way because £100,000 is still a lot of money if I won that. Although £185,000 is £10,000 higher than the average. I would play to the end. :D

I would no deal because i would be over the moon with £100,000 and would be more disappointed if i didnt go for the big opportunity.

I'd have to agree with that. When you get to a position like that, you've only really got one option and that's to go for it. If you dealt and the £250,000 came up, you'd probably regret it afterwards!! As Billy says, £100,000 is life changing and definately worth taking the risk.
