Since season 3 began, the LTL, or Legalised Telephone Lottery has been changed, after many problems being established. But this new one seems just as bad.

The first one:
Veiwers could enter before the 3 boxes were opened. However as episodes are filmed months in advance, the boxes people are entering for have already been opened, which is basically false advertisment. i.e. Jim enters hoping to win £10 000 when the £1 000 is already guaranteed to be won.

The new one:
Boxes are opened 'after the first break', although they appear at the end again. After the boxes are opened, veiwers can vote til 11pm, the winner being announced on the next show. However, veiwers probably have less chance of winning a big prize as when a big box is opened, more people are likley to enter.

The old one had the problem of 'Competition is now closed' appearing either just before they dealt or just before they No Dealt and had a trainwreck, so eventually you could guess what was going to happen by the time that appeared on the screen - particularly by about last May-ish, although after that it seemed to get a bit better. The new one has the problem that it's still filmed at the end but edited into the middle, so if Noel's looking less cheery than normal at the competition, then it means the player's not going to do that well.

So basically once they start actually recording it in the middle, it'll be the best of both worlds.

The new one because it hasn't got a stupid voiceover, some whom are not understandable! It has it flaws so that's why I voted for option 3!

Probably the old one, cause there less chance of winning a big box if it comes up. There won't be a matchplay anymore either.

No they had to change the voice over because the shows arent live therefore the voice overs have been done for the old style competition so they needed it changed and it was an inconvienience to get all of the contestants that are on telly back. so the voice overs should return late october early december.

The competition should have been axed a long time ago. They are all a complete and utter con. In my opinion anyone who enters in the competition is extremely foolish, especially in light of all the recent scams involving all the major television channels including channel 4. I'd expect them to have already axed the competition in their new filmings. After all, they're not making any profit from it... Are they? :)

Invariably, I record the show and watch it later so it's become necessary now to fast forward all through the first break and then the first part of the second third (if you see what I mean) just to avoid the result. What a sad man I am...
