It would be a Deal for me! £50,000 would be alot of money for me at the moment and it would Certainly help me out!!! Faced with the possibility of leaving with just a Pound, I would be put off straight away! I would however love to have 1/4 million in the bank ;)

I would deal here too. I would want something better than £1 as a fallback, at least £5,000 probably.

5k as a backup, and dealing the offer would be stupidity. I would still no deal the 50k offer on a £1 final though.

I would have to deal that, £50,000 is too much to risk when there's a 50-50 chance of getting virtually nothing.

I think we will start seeing more offers like this at the final stage with the £250k left, as it really gives the player something to think about. Some people for example would go for half that!

I normally have a pessimistic outlook, so would probably reluctantly deal.

If it came to that situation.... As i said £50,000 is a large sum of money that is ten times that of £5,000! Its not a stupid decision therefore

I'd rather stay safe than risk it..... However i think the offer might be slightly larger with £5,000 and £250,000 ;)

But only just slightly larger. ;) Perhaps £10k larger. £20k at most...actually quite a bit higher.

Anyway, for me a definite deal.

I agree. 5k may still be "spendable" to quote the great wakey himself but 50k, for me, is life changing. That would do for me.

DOND is an experience, and isn't all about money... however, I wouldn't just no deal for the h*ll of it.

Interesting dilema.

You're getting 5:1 odds on a 2:1 shot of hitting the 250k (nominally), which is a bloody good return on investment if it pays off.

By the same token, you're looking at a potential loss of almost the whole stake - £49,999 - which is not small beer in anyone's vocabulary.

Do you take the view that it's not your money anyway, that it's a free bet, and you're still coming out with £1 more than you came in with? Or do you take the view that the £50k is already yours (subject to a one-word answer), and you'd never gamble that amount on a 50:50 bet, no matter what the potential winnings were?

Do you take the view (rightly or wrongly) that there's a better chance that you don't have the box than you do, and gamble that the Banker will offer the swap - because he doesn't have to?

Finally, how important is it to you that you enter the "Hall of Fame" as the first £250k winner (which probably has a value of 0.000001p unless you can sell your story to the sh1tsheets)?

Taking all of that lot into account, I'd probably deal, unless I'd got carried away by the atmosphere or had just come into a chunk of money somehow anyway.

If, however, the offer was £5k, it'd be no deal all the way.

If the backup were anything greater than £100, then I would definitely No Deal. However, if I had anything under that, I would probably set £50k as my limit: anything above I'd deal, anything below I'd No Deal.

So, I would reluctantly, deal.
