Ok strictly not Deal or no Deal in fact take Deal or no deal completely out of your mind, this is more about value of money.

If I came up to you in the street (apart from running away very fast) and offered you to options

Option 1. £50 in your hand

Option 2. Flip a coin, if heads £100 if tails a full £0

Which would you go for?
If you chose option 2 how much would I have to offer you for option 1?
And has DOND affected which you would choose, to say two years ago?

Option 2 every time - if theres more money up for grabs then by all means go for it

plus i'm used to this whole "double or quits" thing

and as for the 2nd to last question, £1,000,000,000,000,000.

Like Tom Hanks and his football on that island in 'Cast Away', it looks like it's just me and the bots here now. But that's alright, we're having a grand old time. Aren't we, Wilson? WILSOOOON?!

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

Flip the coin because it normally lands on heads for me.

£50 guaranteed. I'll find somewhere to put the £50 that has a positive expected value, like a savings account. Or if I want to gamble £50, I'll put it on sports betting, as there's a skill element.

Flip the coin, and probably £70 would catch me.

Flip the coin. On double or nothing I would take £10,000 (Doubled to £20,000 if I took that risk).

At first I thought take the £50 as that would do nicely and there's no risk.

But then I thought, well why not just flip the coin? It's a 50/50 chance I'll win £100 and if it's tails then I haven't lost anything. It's worth the risk.

I'd flip the coin.

I'd take the £50 then give it back to you so you could buy Shrewsbury a couple of players...
