Can anyone tell me if the audience made up of only the contestants friends or family or are there unconnected people there? Are future contestants ever sitting in the audience watching the show before they take part themselves standing behind boxes on the floor?. Thanks.

If you was to have seen a family member/partner in the audience for someone's game, look carefully in the audience for the shows leading up to that game. You might recognise the odd person

Well, I can confirm that the audience isn't entirely made up of contestants and their friends and family, because I've been in it for Jackee, Michelle and Dan's games!

The majority of the audience are made up of regular people who have applied to be there. They're not recording shows right now but they start again in the autumn, it's well worth trying as tickets are completely free.

The contestants' friends and family are all there, though, and contestants do see a few shows in the audience before they join the wings.

I could have sworn halfway through April we saw Leila's mother for example. And I'm sure I saw Nathan's girlfriend in the audience for one of his last games on the wings.

She was also in the audience for Jeannie's game. I've spotted her countless times in the audience. I think she's been there more often than Noel has! Alan was in the audience for 1p Adam's game.

Good question, and actually, from the very first show [when £120,000 jennifer was in the audience, along with, erm.....3 other contestants] the answer is a resounding yes

not surprised really, no point going on a game show if you havent got a clue what it is you've got to do.....unless of course you are Pat M, Gabrielle 2, or Rita 2
