So as another year of DOND comes to an end, which is the show of the series?

I'm taking the winners of the Show of the Month polls (with thanks to 22, Qwerty and myself who have all run this at times over the last year!)

Note that:
- There's no September show in the poll, as we had a single poll for August/September and one of the four August shows won.
- March ended in a tie - there's not room for both in the poll, so I've gone for Doug as he got more votes in the heat and Billy admitted to voting for Chantelle "to make it exciting" - sorry Chantelle fans!
- Rodney looks odds on to win June, and I've nominated Maria in advance for July, even though there's still the possibility of a better one in the last 5 shows...

Lance, without a doubt. Which sort of implies it's all gone downhill since the start. But I'd say his game was either the best of all-time or a very very close second so it has to be him.

Sorry Lance, Lynne, Claudine, Bunney, Gaz, Graeme and Rodney, but Maria is the #1 there.

As I have said before, I don't personally think it should be game of the month that wins show of the month, which is what often happens, as often you don't get a big character winning the big money and the big characters who win less tend to not win show of the month polls - I think an example is Lynne - who had an exciting game, but had she won an average amount, she'd probably not have won show of the month, whereas people like Derek, Lionel, Barry, etc. are all characters who won more "average" amounts so don't stand a chance of winning show of the month, which I think is a great shame. There are of course occasions when there is a character who wins big, and in my opinion, out of the season 2 show of the month winners, those are Lance, Bunney, Millie and Doug, and I feel the rest only won because of their games, although in rather dull months for games, such as June, and to a certain extent May, I can't blame people for voting for the best game, or even the game with the highest win in the month.

Anyway, Lance's had everything as far as I'm concerned - a player who I liked on the wings, a humorous game with the humour coming from the player, Noel and the banker, the sensible use of gimmicks in the lucky hat and the lucky tea bag, and also, despite what people might think about the 22 at this time last year, I actually quite liked Lance's 22 when they were on the wings - I remember at the time looking forward to Mark's, Spiky Paul's, Ottis', Nev's, Khanny's, Maddie's, Adam's, Ashley's and Bill's shows... and as it turned out, in hindsight, I also liked quite a few others after they'd played their game, so I don't think the 22 back then deserves the label of "Lance and 21 other players" at all!

Personally, I think that I would have remembered Lynne had she won an average amount too because I thought she was great. Not only was her game fantastic and not only did she prove that a gamble (which many people saw as reckless) can pay off, but she was like the shining star of a pretty boring wing line-up. I think the only three players that I really came to like both of the wings and in their games from that line up were Lynne, Maggie and Margaret. That is why I voted for Lynne. Great game, great character and brave personality.

Yeah, sorry about the Chantelle thing, I know now how annoying it is when votes end with a tie!

My vote's for Bunney, anyway. I know it's only July but it's going to take a hell of a show to top it for best show of 2007!

Yeah I would class Lynne's game as a "funny and money" one really...I know she did *beep* all on the wings but she was really entertaining in her game, even when it looked like it was going to be an average one.

Still not as good as Lance's though...

Absolutely HAS to be Lance.

Lance ruined his though by dealing with such a good final pair.

I thought WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? lol.

I was so tempted to vote Millie as she is the second best contestant EVER but I thought Claudine had the best game.

My personal favorites are :

Lynne - one of the first, if not the first show I ever saw. At the time I thought all games would be like that lol.

Bunney - combination of entertainment, bravery and tension made this impossible to forget for me.

Graeme - unbelievable risk taking and nerve-jangling mental strain. Edge of the seat stuff.

Rodney - more entertainment, bravery and tension.

But I'm voting for Lynne. Loved her personality and she actually no dealt at 2 box with 10p v £75,000 and £22k offer to get her big win. Talk about guts!!! You can blame her memorable game for getting me hooked on the show

Graeme and Rodney's games were immense.

But Maria's was fantastic!!!

Can I say none of the above and vote for Lynn's game yesterday?

Lance because Steph was there.

This is totally unfair as the list contains my top three games from Season Two.

How can I choose out of Lance, Lynne AND Claudine.

For the thrill factor, I have got to go with Claudine. Everyone expected her to take an earlier offer and she didn't, and had everyone whooping for her when shegot to £107,031.

I wonder if she's already spent it all on shoes...

Well, it was a very close contest but I can reveal the winner of the best show of series 2 is... LYNNE!

She showed great character and courage to recover from a bad start, right up to probably the biggest all-or-nothing final pair gamble we've seen, which went in her favour to bring her £75,000!

Think you mean "season".

Anyway, I'm not complaining at all Lyne won that - Lance should've won it in my opinion, but there'd be something strange about somebody winning who was so close to the beginning of the season!

Out of that lot my vote would have gone to either Lynne or Graeme.
